I’ve had this espresso machine for a few months now, and it has completely upgraded my morning routine. If you want café-quality coffee at home without taking up too much counter space, this is a fantastic option. ☕ Performance & Ease of Use What I love most is how straightforward it is. The interface is intuitive, and it heats up remarkably fast. It delivers a rich espresso with a nice crema on top every time. Even if you aren't a professional barista, you’ll find it very easy to pull a great shot of coffee. 🥛 Steam Wand & Build Quality The steam wand works perfectly for frothing milk; I’ve been able to make lattes and cappuccinos that look and taste amazing. Additionally, the stainless steel finish gives it a premium, modern look that fits perfectly in my kitchen. It feels sturdy and well-built, not like cheap plastic. 🧼 Maintenance It is very easy to clean. The drip tray and the water reservoir are simple to remove and wash, which is a huge plus for daily use. ✅ Pros: • Compact design (perfect for small kitchens). • Heats up quickly. • High-quality stainless steel finish. • Great pressure for a perfect espresso crema. ❌ Cons: • None so far! It has been working perfectly for months. Read more

We have had fun with this espresso machine. It is compact, works well and fast. It makes tasty coffee with great foamy texture. I used my usual regular ground coffee with this machine for testing and the taste result is way better with this machine than it was made by a regular coffee brewing machine. The feature 20 bar pressure probably helps enhancing the taste (I learnt that the higher number of the pressure bar is, the more creamy/foamy the coffee is). This machine can brew hand-packed ground coffee or ready-made capsule pots but I won’t bother with the second option as I found a great coffee beans that I have been enjoying for years. It is so easy to operate this machine even without reading the instructions. It’s all based on the common sense. The cup warming area on top of the machine is a plus. I ran the brewing option (double shots) using the empty portafilter and the steam option 3-4 times prior to the first brewing with actual coffee, just to make sure everything was clean properly and until the steam came out steamy and not spitting (I do wish that the steam wand is a tat longer for preventing milk splashing while frothing). I still need to master the frothing skill in order to make better steamed milk though. I also learnt that in order to steam a batch of milk with perfect texture for pouring latte art, I have to use whole milk. Oh well...I am lactose intolerant so there goes the option for creating art :)), just enjoy the foamy texture of 2% reduced fat lactose free milk. There are a few con things that I noticed about this machine. It does make noise but tolerable and not super loud (at least to my ears). It moves easily when I attach the portafilter and twist it tightly in the ready-position for brewing, even though the weight of the whole machine is a little over 12 pounds (as the description says. I did not weigh the whole machine). I use a screen puck and did not fill coffee in the portafilter to the max level and it still requires some physical effort to twist the portafilter into the cavity of the machine for brewing every time (detaching the portafilter after brewing, however, is effortless. I don't know why). So does turning the knob for switching from neutral position to making coffee, to steaming. Maybe with time of using it, I will get used to it. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase and for the price and the high number of the bar pressure that this machine offers, it is still a keeper. Read more

Got this to learn with and to test. Was trying to decide if I wanted an espresso machine and did not want to immediately spend $260+ to figure that out. This decided it for me. This device makes excellent espresso. The frother is impressive. Capsule portafilter that can also be used with a 2 cup or 4 cup sieve (instead of buying a bottomless portafilter). I recommend a 2 cup 0.3mm sieve. The 4 cup versions are 0.4mm because the added back pressure requires larger holes (and that means a little more, but not much, ground coffee gets through). The capsule portafilter can use Nespresso Original capsules, and I tested it. Capsules go in upside down and then the capsule retainer needs to be pressed closed to ensure proper puncture of capsule for better capsule brewing. These are my tips of things to get/do to help make better espresso: 51 mm Coffee Distributor/Leveler dual head (recommended) 51 mm Spring Loaded calibrated tamper (recommended but optional--it is amazing how much tamping force is supposed to be used and this makes sure the proper amount is used) 51 mm dosing funnel (I use the one with magnets) (recommended so you do not get grinds everywhere) 51 mm Bottomless Portafilter 3 ears compatible with Wirsh Home Barista Plus/Casabrews CM5418 (optional - bottomless portafilters will splash a little due to pores being partially blocked by grinds) Good coffee grinder (required - Recommended 20 seconds max grind time with 10 seconds in between to prevent adverse grind heat) Good digital food scale (recommended but whole beans measured with a slightly rounded basket before grinding will also work) g = grams of ground coffee which should be the same before grinding. Bottomless Portafilter with 0.3mm pores (grind setting 8 out of 48 with 14-18g) Pressurized (grind setting 8 out of 48 recommended 12-14g 2 shot or 6-8g single shot). Sweet spot seems to be 6.5 to 7 g. 4 cup sieve can be used in capsule portafilter (grind setting 12 out of 48 with recommended of 20-24g) Heat up the additional milk/water to ideal temp before starting espresso. Espresso receptacle cup should be warm before use. Note: Device depressurizes after use by going to drip tray internal path. Has a nice red floating indicator to let you know if drip tray needs to be emptied. No more hit or miss experiences from espresso shops. I make better espressos, americanos, cappuccinos, lattes and mochas. Love this. I have not yet tried ESE pods with this device, but those are also supported (1 pod in the single shot, 2 pod in the double shot). Read more
