Nice and quiet portable A/C unit, cools down my 15x12x8=1,320 square footage room in just minutes, very easy to install and maintain. Comes with instructions of how to do clean up and maintenance yourself, the app will let you know when is needed. Very well built! Read more
I bought this because of it being a 16000 btu portable ac unit. I had a 14000 btu Honeywell that wasn’t doing the job of cooling about a 500 square feet living room in a townhome with a 9 foot ceiling. It would take hours to cool down and usually wouldn’t happen until sun down. Granted the sun beat down on the unit from about 3-7 in the evening. I bought this unit hoping it would cool better. A couple things it puts out colder air and I think the flow is stronger. So I think it cools it down slightly better and quicker than the 14000 honey well. With that said it struggles to give the room the cool feeling just like the honeywell. And unless you are sitting next to it like I am, I’m thinking it’s not much better than the Honeywell even though it is 16000 btu. I sit right next to it so I feel the flow and I stay cool which is the important thing. Im not sure it’s the fault of any ac unit that the place is hard to cool. With the direct hit of the sun and high ceilings it’s hard condo to cool. It probably should have central air. It is a condo and it is built without the ac units. But if you put this ZAFRO in a living room with standard ceiling heights with a bit more shade on the outside, I think it will do a terrific job of cooling it. Just my thoughts Read more
