This heater is perfect for my basement bedroom. It heats up super fast and you can set the temperature yourself. It’s got tip-over protection, so if it gets knocked over, it shuts off itself. It’s really quiet and sturdy. It’s small, so it’s discreet. But it filled up my large basement room with warmth in under five minutes! The price is average for a heater like this. I picked this heater up in preparation for the upcoming winter as the one I have been using for many years is starting to show signs of age. Since it is currently summer, I don't need to use this right now but wanted to make sure it worked upon delivery. The heater comes with the tip over safety feature which is nice since my last one did not have that (it was old). The product appears to be well made with the necessary safety features and adjustment options. With 90-degree ambient temperatures, the heater turned off pretty quickly with plenty of range to set at much lower temperature settings. This does not have a digital temperature display and instead has a "Plus" to "Minus" turn knob. With a little time and usage, I can figure out the desired thermostat setting without a digital thermostat. The secondary knob allows for a fan only, low heat (750 watts), and high heat (1500 watts) settings. The fan does provide a low decibel hum that is noticeable, but not enough to dislike. When the thermostat temperature is reached both the fan and heater turns off which is great for not using electricity when the heat turns off. With this little heater, I am looking forward to summer being over and this little unit taking the bite out of the freezing winter air. Read more

For such a small space heater it works really well in a single room. My bedroom gets really cold at night so some times we use a space heater to warm it up, and so far this litle heater is working just as well as the bigger one we normally use. But for the sake of the review, I plugged this thing in and turned it on. It does what it’s supposed to do! Turns on and heats up. I imagine this will only heat a small room - bigger than a bathroom but smaller than a bedroom. I plan on using this in the office as soon as fall hits. This ZAFRO Portable Electric Space Heater is accurate in its appearance based on product images, but it is much smaller in person than it looks. It feels sturdy and safe, constructed with a plastic outer shell and metal where the heat blows through. I did notice a film left behind where a sticker was on the front. It is suitable for warming up a small room. The controls are pretty typical, featuring rotating knobs to select settings and levels. However, I found that the fan speed remains fairly constant across all settings. While I haven't experienced it tipping over, I would assume both the tip-over and overheat safety mechanisms (the "anti-fire mechanism thing") would function as intended. For its size, I believe the price of $29.62 is a bit too steep; I think $19.99, or perhaps up to $24.99, would be a more appropriate price. I found the fan setting to be louder than they measured plus it uses a lot of energy for just a fan. The low heat setting ran higher than the 750watts it should, but the more important 1500watts were not breached on the high heat setting. The thermostat dial does turn it on and off at where you leave the dial. The tip over switch is a manual button style switch, but they have a strong spring on it, so it responds very well and isn't a concern. You'll see I did test to make sure it was completely off - which it was including the light that just shows the device is plugged in. The switch is shown on the bottom next to the ETL listing sticker. While the build feels reasonably solid, keep in mind it throws out so much heat that the screen became too hot to touch very quickly and didn't cool off very fast. The temperature you see me measure is the internal elements. So, the safety features work, it pumps out the heat, and it seems reasonably priced. I believe that means it deserves to earn five stars.
