This portable air is actually pretty great. Unboxing was easy. Everything was well packed and clearly labeled. Setup took less than 15 minutes. The window kit fit easily, the hose attached without a fight, and the instructions were actually clear and usable, which is sometimes rare. It works really well. It cools the room quickly and maintains temperature without constantly cycling. My husband says the airflow is strong, and the unit feels solid and well built. The digital display is easy to read, and the controls are intuitive. The remote is a great bonus. It responds quickly and makes adjustments effortless from across the room. It’s not too loud and the noise level is actually very reasonable for a portable AC. You can easily watch TV or work without distraction. Mostly we will probably use it so our room isn’t too hot at night. It looks modern and doesn’t feel like an eyesore sitting in the room. Bonus! Was a great help during my other AC having compressor issue during 100 degree week! Took a while to setup . Note : Wished MFG would include a longer hose! It's only less then 5ft. only 59"s they say standard,( but the bends take up length on both connections. A 1ft'\12"s of length to fit properly and I had to elevate the unit just to reach window slider out. Unit is solid and has wheels on bottom so I used the ship'g bottom as a level and on top a sturdy base and leveled it. This was just a temporary set up but the unit kept the rooms cool. Had at 69f cool - low fan then pressed 3sec. for swing lid . side note: I did settings on unit, but the remote press fan for swing did not work nor sync with at unit settings. do manually. Quality of air okay for what the unit can do without humidity draining.. FYI .You have to drain and dry for storage later, even after use they give you a hose. (i will use my shopwet/vac):.. When I first got it I liked it because it was easy to install and it cooled off my living room fast. I got it on a Saturday and things were good until about after a day I noticed an odd smell in my apartment. It smelled stale and then it began to smell metallic. It is now Wednesday and I can’t take the smell so I will be returning. From what I read online it could be that there are frayed metal parts or perhaps that it’s just the unit, but regardless who wants to pay almost $400 for a smelly apartment? Will be a pain to have to take down the stairs but I hate it enough to go through the hassle, especially on the off chance that something is wrong within the mechanics of the unit. Also, not sure what all the hype is about it being quiet, it’s actually not. It’s not excessively loud, but they have no right to advertise it as quiet, when I have to turn on my TV quite loud since buying this unit. People who say it is quiet are either lying or deaf. We have a window unit and it just doesn’t do anything. This is such a lifesaver. It has been so amazing and it keeps our house very cool on those hot Florida humid days. I don’t know what we would do without it. Actually, I do know what we would do without it. I have been there and I don’t want to go back. It is a tiny bit loud, but nothing that your window unit wouldn’t put out and there are hoses that need to go out the window. Read more
