I also appreciate the large 50oz water tank, which means fewer refills, and the LCD display makes the machine intuitive and easy to use right out of the box. It heats up quickly and feels thoughtfully designed for everyday home use. A nice touch is that it includes a heavy-duty tamper, which is not always standard and helps achieve more consistent, well-packed shots. There are a couple of things worth noting. Some parts of the machine are plastic, even in areas that initially look like metal. While this doesn’t affect performance, it can be a bit surprising if you’re expecting an all-metal build. In addition, the machine does not include a built-in grinder, which is somewhat unexpected for an espresso maker in this price range, so you’ll need to have a separate grinder or use pre-ground coffee. I don't drink a lot of coffee and had never had an espresso. So, this was a new experience for me. It's nice. I don't know the differences between the models and such, but this one seems to be very good. It's pretty easy to use, and it's a reasonable size to be on the countertop. It makes good coffee and that tastes good. I also though it was relatively quiet compared to what I've seen other places. Very nice espresso machine. Read more

I got this Havato 20 Bar Espresso Machine for my college age son, who is soon moving into his first apartment. I inspected it and I could find no manufacturing defects, so it seems of good quality manufacturing. And it works great. I tested it and it functioned properly and was relatively easy to use. It was easy to clean, or as easy to clean as I imagined it would be for a complicated machine like this. And the espresso tasted great. Overall, I am 100% satisfied with this espresso machine; its quality and value for the dollar that it presents. It was a bit more plastic that I thought it would be, but at this price point, it is still a good value. I would recommend it for someone's starter espresso machine, for a college student, or perhaps a first home housewarming gift. Read more

This Espresso Bar Machine produces consistently excellent brew time and time again, and the milk fritter works really well. The machine is both metal and plastic, which isn't that uncommon anymore. The issue I have is the lack of a built in grinder. In the price range I ordered it at, that's usually included in the design. I have to use a separate grinder as a result that can achieve espresso grind. That's an expense of it's own. Otherwise, I definitely am happy with the Espresso Bar's quality and brew. Read more

I had high hopes for this espresso machine and look, I'm certainly not a coffee sommelier by any means, but I just couldn't get this to make a decent shot. To be fair, this is the first time I've tried an espresso machine. I followed all the instructions it came with. Cleaned it all first, then ran some shots. It says optimal brew pressure is 8-13. I couldn't get it above 4, no matter how fine of a grind or how much tamping I did. The machine itself is nice looking, but it is mostly silver colored plastic. The stainless pieces around the drain plate are very very thin. I'll keep trying with it and if I get a process that gets a good brew I'll update this, but so far it's been very middling. Read more
