This review is for Sokply 240W UFO LED High Bay Light My shop is a pole-framed structure with a 12ft ceiling. I have struggled with lighting inside it from the start. I saw this UFO high bay light and i just thought it would be perfect. After installation, wow, a world of difference, especially right above my table saw! What I like: Light weight: getting it to the top was a breeze. Easy installation: I got the "Hook" style all I needed was a lag-eye bolt in the upper cross beam. Super Bright. It has 3 lighting levels (Not sufficiently described in the instructions but I found the switch under a square rubber in the housing.) I currently have it at the lower setting as the full 240 watts was a bit too much. I may decide to up it later. Safety line. There is an additional steel cable with a carabiner that acts as a safety in case the mounting hook somehow fails. Dimmer wiring :i don't need this currently but I may at a future date. Wiring was physically labeled as well as mentioned in the instructions. Which is a good thing because I don't normally see blue and brown wires except in ceiling fans/lights (blue and brown for fan, black and white for light, green to ground) Things I think could be improved: Better diffusion of the lumens. The LED's only have their focus/glass/acrylic cover and that's it. It is slightly painful on the eyes when I happen to catch a glance. And it is centrally located so....I catch that glance often. Better instructions. Half the instructions do not pertain to this model. There is no sensor (remote/motion/other) that comes with it, nor do they indicate model/part numbers to locate the sensor if interested in getting it, which I was just because I wanted to know the options. There were additional mounting instructions but that hardware was not included and therefore not needed. Overall a decent light! And I look forward to using it this winter! Read more

This is an incredibly bright light! Before I installed this in my garage I took it out in my backyard and this lit the whole thing up. We're talking an acre plus back there and all of it looked like it was mid-afternoon. I have this set up in my garage hanging from my ceiling which is 12' high. Though this is definitely a light that would benefit from a higher mounting point as it would spread the light pool out farther. It still works great in my garage though, spreading light all over and creating a very bright spot underneath for doing car work at. I like that this light runs cool for the wattage too. The heat sink is massive so I'm sure that has a lot to do with that. There's an adjustment on this light for 150, 200, and 240 watts but I just opted to leave mine switched to 240. There's not much difference between the levels anyway. Overall though this is a well built light with a big heatsink that keeps it nice and cool which should help out with the longevity of it. It's much nicer than my old 8' fluorescents. Read more

First off, these lights are super bright and have changed (leveled up) my ability to work in my workshop. They fill the area that 4 48' flourescent bulbs used to. I made the mistake of setting them up every 3 feet and, man, it's overkill. They're super easy to wire up and install. Very adjustable to suit your needs. Great quality of manufacturing and design. They are also very ruggedized. I've banged this thing around pretty good (accidentally but more than I would have normally wanted to, for sure) and they keep on crushing it. The light is very, pure. That's the best way I can say it, my guess would be that it's the temperature of the light (not heat) but it just feels like great quality light to work by. I'm recommending these to all my buddies and the ones that have switched over have the same sentiments. One drawback, I can see more areas that I need to clean or mistakes that I've made a whole lot easier. Bad light hides bad work. I'll have to level up my game :-) Read more
I spend a decent amount of time in my garage, and it just happens to have high ceilings, so I thought this would be perfect, and it pretty much is. I didn't hook up a dimmer switch to mine, which I might in the future, but right now, I don't see the need to. It literally is like daytime in my garage, even when it's pitch black outside, which is what I wanted. Three different mounting options are nice, and I thought about putting it on the wall mount to see what it would be like aiming it, but after just attaching it to a hook, and letting it aim towards the ground, I realized that I probably don't need to wall mount it. This thing is so bright, you can't look at it, so if you don't have high ceilings, and it's going to be in your line of sight, I wouldn't buy it, as it's brighter than you think. If you do have high ceilings, then go for it! This will literally be the only light you need in your garage! Read more
Photos will be added later today. I am not sure what I expected when I opened the box for this "UFO LIGHT", but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The housing of the light is poured from heavy gauge steel. When you handle it, feel its weight, you immediately realize that it will last for many decades. This is a very important quality for my money. The LED grid is protected by a robust, crystal clear lense. After installation it screams " I take my workshop, business, etcetera serious!" One heads up though; the light doesn't come with a plug installed. This may come as a shock to some, but most people who purchase a light like this will want to wire it into their electrical grid, but for the few who want the option to plug it into an outlet, plug installation could not be easier. 100%, I will be buying at least two more, one for my other building and one for my attic! STRONG LIKE WOOD, but better...cuz its STEEL BABY! Read more
