It is exactly as described. The screen opening is a little too big for the off brand tablets we have in it, but I figured it would be when I read the description. The key is great for security and to keep kids from messing with the tablets. My only complaint is that it makes it so we need an extra long charging cord to reach the screen, but that's not the stand's fault. I do also like that you can bolt it to the ground, or we've also thought about putting wheels on the bottom Read more

We needed some way to lock down a tablet we use for signing waivers for competitions that we host. This fit the need exactly. You can lock the tablet into the stand and even secure the stand to the ground. There is some cable management on the back and it uses a freezer style key to secure the tablet inside the mounted case. The stand adjusts nicely to change the angle to avoid glare. The base is weighted enough that it would take a deliberate action to knock it over. It is stylish and durable. Quality craftmanship. I am sure if someone wanted the tablet bad enough, they could take the whole stand, but even without mounting it to the ground - it discourages someone from trying to walk away with it. In our case, the stand is probably worth more than the tablet. The height adjustment works well for pretty much any person to use it. The quality does reflect in the price, but I feel it is worth it. I got this stand for the sign in sheet when I hold open houses. Worth it for professional use at $100. The base and vertical post (extruded aluminum) are very professional looking. The lockbox top is reasonably solid for what it is. I think it's important to know that the stand isn't going to prevent theft by the most determined criminals, just make it too inconvenient to try to walk off with the ipad. The lockbox top comes with four keys. The action is a little mushy. The lock itself is replaceable if you wanted to have a bunch of them keyed alike by a locksmith. The inside of the lockbox has 8 silicone nubs that can be placed in a couple different configurations to hold the ipad still. I took four out and used the remaining four. To get it perfectly fit I'll probably end up trimming the nubs to not squeeze the ipad so hard. Lining up the front facing camera is pretty simple. Just do yourself a favor and tip it back to an almost flat angle when you have the lockbox open so the ipad doesn't slide off to the ground. The stand is very easy to put together, nothing tricky. You'll need a Phillip's screwdriver in addition to the included allen wrench (I used a drill). Read more

This iPad stand is very well made which is apparent while assembling the minimal parts. It has a modern sleek look yet it fully protects the iPad from damage and of course from it disappearing in someone’s hand. It really holds the iPad well as I have had iPads take a fall to the floor with other not so robust stands. Since it is not bolted to the floor because I want it movable, I have worried that it might get knocked over but that is not likely in the configuration we are using and if it does, I know the iPad will survive the fall. I think it would have been an improvement to have the volume controls exposed in the back but since I have only needed that a couple times, I not going mark it down for that. The hiding of the charging cable has been done very well and you will need a 4-foot minimum length cable and more then 5 feet is too long in my opinion. Overall, a really nice product, well made and does everything it claims to do. Read more
