Picked this up to use for a barista screen tablet for an iPad. It was incredibly easy to set up right out of the box, as all I had to do was set the ratchet distance to the diagonal of the iPad, put the iPad in, and then loop the accompanying security wire around a pipe. The locking mechanism key was straightforward to use and functioned smoothly. I like the ability to not only rotate the iPad in horizontal or portrait mode, but also to change the angle of incidence for better viewing. I had a kiosk in the middle of a mall for the holidays. I had purchased a stand for my tablet that was to be secured with adhesive or screwed to the cash drawer. The adhesive would not secure the tablet. The screw down would but I needed to move the tablet into a secure cabinet every night. This item was exactly what was needed. It is heavy enough to keep the tablet in place throughout the day, it is easy to remove the cable nightly, and the tablet stays securely in place on the stand and the rubber to hold the stand ensures ones tablet does not get damaged. The only point to be aware each stand only comes with 2 keys and at this time cannot be replaced, so do not lose them. :( Read more

This is a good stand for the regular iPads. For the iPad Pro and others with a slim bezel, you may run into issues with a portion of the screen being blocked by the mount arms. -1 star for versatility Read more

I can't say enough good things about this tablet holder. The all metal construction is well designed, sturdy, versatile, and secure. The tablet can be easily rotated into any viewing position needed. It is a great tablet holder even if you're not using its main feature as a theft deterrent. I've decided to keep my iPad in it most of the time whether I'm securing it to a desk or not. It's that well made and convenient to use with the built-in stand. The security feature is well thought out with just a single key to lock or unlock everything in one step. The security cable which can be looped around anything secure to prevent someone from walking off with your tablet -- plugs directly into the locking mechanism which is also the mechanism which locks your tablet to the stand. In my view, this model of the stand is more versatile than the version which needs to be clamped to a desk or table in a fixed position. This version with the built-in stand allows you to conveniently move it from place to place with zero risk of the tablet falling out; it's that secure. Update: 2nd one failed now. Same issue - lock gets stuck and won’t release the iPad. Had to saw with a dremel to get iPad out and caused some scratches on the iPad. Stay away from this thing = expensive trash Original Review: After just couple uses the key no longer turns and opens the lock and our iPad is stuck in the holder. Have tried everything to release it with no success. Used two of them for our merch table POS and after second use we noticed the mechanism was difficult to release on one of them. The next time we went to release it and now the key won’t turn and the holder won’t release our iPad. We are just outside the return window unfortunately. Very disappointed with this item. I would avoid this item. It seemed well built, but the lock breaking with light use is unacceptable. Now I don’t know how I will get our iPad out without resorting to a hacksaw. Read more

Here I have found a great companion for my tablet that I don't need to ever look elsewhere for. I can take my tablet anywhere I need to make a video, call, or do some work on it, and have comfort knowing my tablet is stable. I like to use my tablet for instructional videos, listening to podcasts, streaming music, and of course working from home. There is no set location that is deemed unsafe due to the equal weight designed at the base. I can tilt my tablet at the angle that makes me happy creating videos, and working hands free from the device. Instead I get to focus on the task and engage in my creative senses. This is prime for a business owner who uses tablets for transactions as well as menu displays. No one is going to snatch this anti-theft device unless taking the table and wall with them is in the plans. What a great choice! I highly recommend. You can't go wrong here.
