This has been a great addition to the RV seating area of a Cross Roads Sunset Trailer. It easily and securely mounts to the back of one of the benches in the slide-out that is between the booth and the recliners (sofa). There is ample clearance for the mount to rest against this half wall when not in use. The mount can be pulled out and extended in front of the RV recliner when phone or tablet viewing is needed. If desired it would also mount with ample clearance on the slide-out wall next to the other recliner. The mount is extremely sturdy and well made. As an added bonus I believe you could also rest a tablet size board on this mount to create a platform to hold your beverage and/or snack! I'm not super handy, but I was able to borrow a drill and had this up in mere minutes. It is very sturdy. I mounted it the back of a IKEA PS 2014 Secreatry Desk as I wanted something that would fold out of the way when done. The goal is trying to keep a very small work-from-home imprint in my home. Out of sight out of mind. I bought an external monitor (basically a thicker/bigger ipad) and this mount is perfect. As others have noted, the joints are very stiff. I’ve bought a dozen of these so far to mount iPads to walls for use in a kiosk type scenario. I’ve found these to be consistently well constructed and very versatile with the multiple pivot points. Very happy with this choice and will likely buy more in the future. Read more

Heavily built. calls for special mounting screws that are not included. Do not use the ones that are included, they are not heavy enough. Use butterfly screws. Love to watch Bluey with French Bulldogs at night. Big pile of dogs on pillow and just enough room for me. Highly recommended Read more
Install was easy. I mounted mine to a kitchen cabinet (pretty much like the video on amazon shows). The locking mechanism looks sturdy but it's directly tied to the mounting mechanism. There is no way to mount the tablet without locking it ( so don't lose those keys!) After having been installed now for a several months, the articulation points become loose and wobbly no matter how many times I tighten the screw. I have had to keep the allen key near the iPad since I have to re-tighten them so often. Over tighten and movement is stiff and difficult. I may try some locktite on the screws to see if that helps them not become loose so quickly. Maybe my situation is different since I have young children (the youngest is 3 yrs old) that like to bring a chair up to counter and move the iPad all round. So it gets a lot of movement. When moving it around they tend to grab just the device instead of the metal on the two mounted corners. I wish there was some sort of integrated grab handles on the mount, so that there would be no need to grab the tablet to move it. To take the strain off the expensive metal + glass thing, and move it to the less expensive sturdy metal thing attached to the wall. Honestly I went with this model since it looked sturdy and thought it would hold up. I kind of wish I had went with a different mount, but this one had some of the best range of motion amongst them.
