This device is very solid and clearly designed for all weather. I am using it on porch string lights, and it works great. As it is only about 50 feet, and through a log wall, from the control unit to the receiver, I do not need to extend the antenna to use the device. The control unit uses a standard 9v battery. This should last much longer than the watch batteries that most units use. The 9v is also much easier to change. For just a few dollars more than other units, this is the one to have! Read more

Works through bluetooth, so range is limited and switch state feedback is non existent. Not programmable. Read more

Added this remote control to the dust collector in my woodworking shop. I needed more than 15 amp capability and this remote fits the bill and was considerably less than other heavy duty remotes. Pros - Reasonable price for heavy duty remote. Unit has waterproof connectors (although I don't need this indoors). Easy installation. Outstanding range - works from anywhere in the shop. The remote's size makes it difficult to "lose." Cons - Weird remote design. Some will feel it's too big and/or confusing. Different buttons needed to turn collector on or off (labelled A and B, not on or off). Uses a 9 volt battery. Who uses 9v batteries anymore. Didn't even include a battery. ?? The remote also includes an on/off switch which I assume is supposed to save the battery. Have to remember to switch it on before using the remote. Read more

I haven't tested this to 30 amps but it at least works beyond 15amps and doesn't pop. So far works as expected. The remote looks like a repurposed universal part straight out of the 1980s but it works well. On and off are separate buttons and generically labeled "A" and "B". A reviewer mentioned there is no indication which direction to install the 9v battery. Not true, there is a label embossed into the battery housing for polarity. One other interesting feature on the remote is an on off slider switch to prevent accidental triggers. Read more

I needed a remote to start/stop a pump. I previously used a 15-amp remote that couldn’t handle the starting current. This 30-amp remote is great and has plenty of distance capability, especially with the antenna. I also like the battery power switch to prolong the life of the battery. Read more

I have a yard sprinkler system using a 1hp pump. I have tried many remotes before and had false start-ups plus short range..This unit has never had a false start up and the distance is exceptional.. Read more
