This is super easy to install. The vent just fits in between the bottom of the window and the jam. Works for vertical windows also. Mine are the crank out vertical Anderson windows, so I had to get creative. For temporary, I made a panel out of two layers of the box it came in. I used the shiny duct tape and taped up the cardboard on a screens window. Then I connected the vent hose to the unit. Turned it on and I’m the room felt better markedly better in 15 minutes and I keep it on 70 or 72. It’s big enough for my four room loft apt. It’s on wheels so you can easily move it to drain it. Works beautiful but doesn’t last a day without having to empty within 4 hours of running. Only annoyance. I had no issues with hose as other reviews stated. Update June 2024: so the first year I purchased this, I only used it maybe twice then we got really cool weather, as I purchased it at the end of the summer. Now its June and we had extremely above regular temperatures in the high hundreds, very humid, national warning. I had already installed my air conditioners and so it was a perfect time to use. Thank God, I work from home as I have a dog, I started finding that I would hear a beep while I was sitting in the living room watching TV and I get up in the timer turned on. I never use the timer. I turn the timer off. I go sit back down timer comes on again Then the unit would just shut off. I’d have to turn back on do it process all over again again then the water would say full. Living in the state I live and we do not have high humidity. So I called the company and I will say this company is very great to work with. After sending a few videos, They deemed that it was a default in the power board. They were going to reimburse me 80% of my purchase product As that model had been discontinued, but because I love how cool the air is blowing out and how fast it cools down a room compared to my Hisense and my LG, I asked for a replacement and if they would just replace the model with the other model that they have which is a 10,000 BTU (white) 2024 upgraded model and they sent it out to me. Due to the fact that it is a replacement it’s under the original warranty, which I only have until July, I’m a little bit disappointed in seeing how if I had warmer weather last August I would’ve found out this issue last August and the replacement would have a little over a year to find out whether it’s going to have issues But I am very grateful they replaced the model. They shipped out immediately, and I got it within three business days boxed in perfect condition. So far so good I will come back with another update. Read more

We tried to give this time to work and unfortunately gave it too much time and now we are out of our return window and I’m stuck with an expensive white box that does not cool what so ever. Please don’t waste your money purchase a different brand. We were using this for a 400sq foot bedroom in Florida so there is no reason it should not have worked except it just failed to do so. The one we had prior worked for 5 years perfect we purchased it at Home Depot. This one I thought I would give it a chance but I should not have it does not drop the temperature at all and continuely runs. Do NOT waste your money. Read more

I live in Phoenix where it gets to 115+ degrees. My AC went on the fritz in August. I ordered this unit immediately, it arrived within 2 days..... Faster than the repair company. This unit cooled my large bedroom and a joining den to 80 degrees easily! I love it and might by another. I saw someone complain about having to drain their unit?? I never had to....I guess because we've had NO rain in AZ this year. I encourage everyone to buy a unit from Air Choice. This unit does blow a lot of cold air and cools very well. However, it started leaking from the bottom after a couple of weeks. You will also have to keep the drain hose attached at all times because the drain pan fills up too fast and it will shut off after a couple of hours. Not good when you're trying to sleep. And then you will have to put it on top of something to keep it elevated so it can drain into a bucket. I had to get a 6 gallon bucket for it because it filled a normal size bucket in about 4 hours and started overflowing while I was sleeping. The fan feature doesn't work either. It will move up and down, but the side to side sweep doesn't work, and never did. Read more

I think most of the people with negative comments aren’t using this properly or have unrealistic expectations. This portable unit rocks for supplementing my central AC, I use it in my living room and kitchen where it gets more hot than the rest of the house. Yes you must connect a tube to the window- but looks much better than a window unit jutting out your window: I have seen people complain of having to drain water from it daily- I have not had to once in nearly a week and I live in Texas. If your air is really that humid you should have a dehumidifier anyway. Read more

The AC is just what it was supposed to be. Works great and cools the space. A little louder than I wanted but it's not in the room that its cooling. The fan is very strong and throws the cool air about 24 feed. Their customer service is awesome. the exhaust hose came with a some of the plastic rubbed off by the metal rings.
