I bought the matching wallet several years ago and have gotten several compliments so when I needed a new purse I looked at this one. The purse is a little smaller than I hoped with no inside dividers (there is a side zip pocket and two sleeves you can slip things into). But it is a good sturdy purse, creaks like real leather (love that) and it is Beautiful. I am very happy with it. I just don't carry as much as I used to in my old purse (which may be a good thing). THE PURSE IS NOT AS BIG AS I THOUGHT.... LOOKS CHEAP COMPARED TO OTHER AMERICAN WEST PURSES I'VE SEEN IN THE STORES. The leather on the back is a nice thickness, but the leather on the front is thin. The cutouts are poorly done, with many ragged edges. The two layers of leather (the tan in front and the turquoise behind) are not bonded together so the front layer will most likely rip. The zipper is plastic - for this price I expect a good quality brass zipper. It looks a lot nicer in the pictures than it does in person. Had I seen it in a store, I would not purchase it. At this point I don’t know if I’m going to keep it or go through the hassle of returning it. I bought it from a different source then Amazon so returns will be more difficult. Read more

I normally purchase Coach or Dooney purses so when I got this purse I was disappointed. The leather is stiff which I could look past if it were not for the plastic zipper. Also, the liner is a stiff cotton rather than something with a nicer feel. I ended up returning the item. Read more

So very pretty! It took forever to get here, nearly a month, but I got a great deal on it. The leather is a little stiff but that is to be expected with real leather. I just used a good leather cleaner/conditioner and it helped soften it up a bit. Read more

Not good. Had an American West purse before and it was great. This purse is not to the standard I would expect of American West. Cheap looking. Leather is thin, stitching is cheap, strap is thin and not sewn well. Disappointed. Read more
