Cord issues and HOT

I have had several Aroma Season Heated eye masks over the years, but this is the first in this design. Because of the way it is made with large round sections going down toward your cheeks, it is not reversible. It can only be worn one way. The cord comes out at the bottom right side of the mask. My electric receptacle is on the left side of the bed so either the cord lays uncomfortably across my face or I have to loop it up over my head and around. Not fond of either method. However, the worst problem and the reason for one star is that it heats up really HOT at first. I wear the mask on Low to use. I have to turn it on while it is NOT on my face to heat up then I let it cool off a bit before putting it on. It reminds me of an oven preheating. I will look for the other style and hope the old style still heats and preheats correctly. Read more

It's great with two annoying little things

I have developed severe dry eye. I've gone through a series of treatments which were effective but i will need to use a mask daily to maintain the progress I've made. I put the mask on when I'm in bed ready for sleep and set the timer for 30 min with the heat on the high setting. Works great except for two minor annoyances which may only be annoying to me because I use it when I'm trying to go to sleep. First, the light in the little controller device is bright. VERY bright. Not a major deal since the mask blocks the light from me but my wife grumbles a bit. Secondly, the buttons on the control unit protrude away from the face of the unit rather than being recessed. This can result in fairly minor movements putting pressure on one of the buttons and changing the settings or turning the unit off completely. As mentioned, these are minor concerns and may only be noticed by someone using the mask while trying to go to sleep. Read more
