I use this eye mask every night and now I can’t fall asleep without it. It turns itself off after 15 minutes, but it’s easy enough to restart without removing if I want it warm longer. I just washed the cover on delicate and hung it to dry and it came out great. It packs flat and I’ve taken it on all of my trips in the last few months. The reason I gave it only four stars is that It doesn’t hold a charge very long so I do have to charge it every day. Read more
Update: I really like this one best from others I tried lately. Heats well. Turns itself off after a while. Charging was easy. I’ve only used two nights after charging so don’t know how long the charge will last. It’s soft on my eyes and not too heavy or digging into the bridge of my nose. Easy to adjust. Easy to turn on. So far I’ve used the high heat setting. Much nicer than microwave ones. Update: I still like it but it has to be charged every 3-4 days. Read more
This Aroma Season Heated Eye Mask states that the temperatures can reach as high as 63.3 Degrees-C. (146-F). Most legitimate (study based) sources state that thermal injury to the eye or eye lid and/or permanent corneal damage can occur at temperatures at or above 45-C (113-F). The Lowest setting of this mask is 48-C (118-F), which is above the safety limit. (REF: Eyelid Warming Devices: Safety, Efficacy and Place In Therapy - Bzogy, Ego, et. al. 10.2147/OPTO.S350186 Clin Optima (Auckl)) and several others. Actual bench testing showed this mask reaches (High, Medium, Low) 63-C, 50-C & 44-C respectively. I;d recommend NOT using this to warm the eye without prior consultation & approval of an eye care specialist who treats meibomian gland dysfunction. On the happy side, the mask is soft and comfortable (when used cold). It blocks light well. Were the notch for the bridge of one's nose higher by a few centimeters, it would be even more comfortable. I got this hoping it would provide some relief for my dry eyes and occasional styes. While it's not a bad product, it's not exactly what I expected either. Pros: The heated eye mask is cordless, which is convenient for travel or use at home. The 2500mAh battery provides a decent amount of heat, and the mask is relatively comfortable to wear. Cons: My main issue with the mask is that the heat is not evenly distributed. Some areas of the mask get quite hot, while others remain lukewarm. This can be a bit uncomfortable, especially if you're trying to relax. Additionally, the mask doesn't seem to get as hot as I'd like. I've used other heated eye masks in the past that provided a more intense heat, which was more effective for my dry eyes. The material of the mask is also a bit cheap-feeling, and the design could be more ergonomic. The mask tends to slip down my face if I'm not careful, which can be annoying. Overall, the Heated Eye Mask is an okay product, but it's not the best I've used. If you're looking for a basic, no-frills heated eye mask, this might be a decent option. However, if you're willing to spend a bit more money, you might find a better product on the market. Read more
I have dry eyes and also migraine headaches. This product help with both! I love that you can use it cordless and charge it with any phone charger. I slightly missed my eyes with water and then I put this mask on, so it really helps my dry eyes. It’s a much more natural solution than using chemical ice drops for dry eyes. Also, it’s much more economical than buying all those products! Love it. Read more
