I purchased a HDTV antenna from Amazon which I am returning because it did not work. I contacted Customer service and was given a 1-866 # to call to cancel this 3 year service plan--If I don't have the antenna I don't need an extended warranty for it. It turns out Asurion is part of AT & T. When you try to call the number you are told to access the website. The website will not let you in without registering and including the 10 digit wireless number for service for the "phone". This did not concern a phone. I made a mistake somewhere and got a red error message that gave me a different 1-866 #. I got a very nice young lady who tried to help me find the correct division/she had no idea that these plans were being marketed for anything other than the phones they normally deal with. She gave me another number which also will not work without the phone number...my problem is not with a wireless phone. I spent well over an hour trying to get through the phone or website. It was an endless circle always coming back to the same beginning point. I still have not been able to cancel the unneeded warranty. It's not that it's that expensive, $6.41--it's the fact that there is no direct access even back through the original purchase point to get to a way to make this change. The customer service person was very polite and conscientious and really did try to help me. But she also had no direction she could go to get to the correct cancelation page. Once I am sure the antenna has been received back at Amazon, I'll probably just go to my local Best Buy and get another so I can make sure I have a face to face fall back in case I have any future problems. I guess I'll just keep the pdf from Asurion. Can't do anything with it, don't have the product, but hey...I've got a pdf! Not at all satisfied. Read more
