I bought this tripod to hold my iPad for what I thought would be a casual family karaoke night. Needed a stand to hold an expensive iPad. Have used it a couple times and so far, great job. Collapses enough to comfortably fit inside trumpet case with horn, no extra item to carry. Appears stable and mostly well built. Do not like loose plastic nut for securing iPad holder to stand. It appears to be delicate enough to require special care and attention. If broken or lost, whole thing is useless. Time and use will validate durability. Read more

This thing is sturdy. Not only does it hold my phone, but it can hold my iPad in its case (and let me just say that is no small feat, as it is heavy in its keyboard case). I mainly use this tripod for my iPad during virtual meetings or content creation, and it works great indoors. It’s lightweight, compact, and easy to set up—definitely a solid pick for travel or small spaces. But when I tried using it outside, a strong wind knocked it over and took my iPad with it.
