So overall I really like this tripod for my needs. I have always wanted a light and compact tripod for my small DSLR and my cell phone to use for family photos and to assist with making Youtube Videos. The tripod is versatile and can be adjusted to just about any height that you need. The base is a little too big to put on a tabletop (unless its a big table) in my opinion so depending on your needs you may want to look elsewhere for that type of application. I didn't give the Tripod 5 stars for sturdiness because its a little on the light side. As you can see my from my photos it does perfectly well holding my small DSLR Camera and my cell phone. I do feel like if you accidentally bumped it or a strong wind were to come by it could potentially fall over, especially if you had a heavy lens on or your camera or if it was angled downward. For a cellphone or a goPro, this is probably not a concern. The kit does come with a handy bluebooth remote that allows you to remotely snap photos with your apple or android phone. This is great feature for family photos or selfie stick applications. The length of this thing does also give you some great opportunities to get large group selfies (see picture). That said, at 62" with a large mobile phone in the mount, it is really hard to hold up. If you reduce the length to half to works really well. While it does work as a selfie stick, I could not imagine walking around Disney world all day lugging this piece of equipment as it is a lot bulkier and heavier than most selfie sticks on the market. For this reason I only gave the product 4 stars in the Light Weight category. So to recap: Pros: Highly configurable. Lightweight for Standard Picture/Video purposes Holds small and large smartphones with ease Attachment included for GoPro Works well and supports nearly all angles with DSLR Cameras (at least to a certain sense weight) Can be used a selfiesick Bluetooth remote works great Cons: A little bulky for a selfie stick if you had to carry all day. After making do for a couple of years clipping my ring light to a tacky and delicately balanced yardstick, I decided I needed to spring for a tripod. At first, I was looking for one that would be just the right height for the ring light setup, but I'm glad I went with this one instead. While I just thought I'd use it for my ring light on my desk, I ended up realizing I had a great tool on my hand. Group photo? Sure! Fastened my phone to the top AND used the amazing remote control and BAM! Great photo! I could just click the remote over and over with no one having to run back and forth to the phone! Make a video for social media? Sure! Same thing: Use the remote to start and stop the video without having to move and reposition myself. This tripod telescopes so tall! It has innumerable settings in between the max and min settings. You can really fine tune the height. The base is also adjustable, so you can widen the stance or make it narrower . . . depending on your available footprint. At the time of purchase, it seemed like more than I needed, but it turns out, I underestimated how much I would use such a versatile, easy-to-use tool. It's sturdy and good quality.
