I'll offer a disclaimer: I haven't used the included remote at all, nor downloaded any app that might connect to it. That said, this tripod was everything that I was looking for. The legs can spread wide, greatly improving sturdiness; there is no wobble or sway like with some tripod or camera mount designs; the product is lightweight and very compact for carrying, with its own carry bag; and I can attach almost any device that uses the standard (is it 1/4"?) screw post to mount onto it. I am looking forward to not only using this tripod for my smart phone to record, but also for the movie projector I have at home. This tripod will make angle, height, etc. adjustment for the picture on the wall/screen easy. I love that the cascading leg sections of this tripod have very sturdy latches that you can be sure are tightened down and won't slide or collapse. And because they're individually adjustable, if you had an uneven terrain setup, you could make one or two legs different lengths to accommodate uneven ground or surfaces better. But you can also, with a single knob, simply adjust the height of this tripod to a degree by lengthening the "neck" that leads up to the device mount bracket - you don't have to adjust 3 tripod legs to achieve more height in a pinch. I was also looking for a tripod where the brace bars between the legs wasn't sitting so low to the ground that a hump or swell or rock in the ground would prevent me from sitting it evenly. They look low in the product image, but the way the tripod legs adjust, you can make the "stick" part of the legs stick down far below where those leg braces sit; so it won't get in your way. This product was exactly what my family and I were looking for. It was perfect for us to take a family portrait were all of us can be in it without having one sacrifice their spot. It was not flimsy when holding my iphone 15 Max. The tripod supported the weight and the wind was not a factor. It has a level built in to assist with balancing. The Bluetooth remote gave no issues and was simple to connect. There was no delay when pressing the remote. Pictures were taken immediately when pressed.
