I had been wanting to upgrade my knives for a little a long time but could never justify spending the money to get a premium set. Saw these at the store one day and bought a single knife on a whim to see how I liked them. Out ofnthe box it was an 8 inch razor, super sharp and after 9 months they have not lost there edge one bit. Have never needed to sharpen them, just a few swipes on my honing rod and they are still like brand new. The handles are super comfortable in the hand and they have a great weight to them. These are a must for any home cooking buff who wants a good set of sharp knives without spending a fortune. Read more

These are not the best knives on the market and I think that’s kind of the point. These are good quality functional knives that are a great starting point for someone. They come surprisingly sharp so handle with care right out of the box. The 3 pack (chef, bread, pairing) is perfect to get started cooking, or if you just have a smaller kitchen and don’t want to store a block on the counter. The handles feel nice and the full tang design paired with good steel means you don’t have to worry about the blade snapping off like so many other knives in this price bracket. The knife roll is a great addition as it provides a safe storage option so no one is reaching into a drawer and coming out with a cut hand. Read more

Great knife set! I have followed Andrew (Babish) for years and I just recently started a job in a kitchen and decided I’d like to get myself a knife kit started. But, they’re all so expensive! Not this set though! $20/knife and a roll bag to go with it!? The other chefs at work also like the look and feel of the knives and were also surprised when I told them I only spent $60! Extremely sharp right off the bat! So be careful there! I brought them home and cleaned them after work and it looks like I haven’t even used them! Very easy to clean. Very comfortable handgrips as well and the size is perfect. Functions very well and compares very closely to our dalstrong knives! Read more

These are the best knives I've owned as an adult. I am not a chef. I cook meals for my family, so take that as you will. I use the chef knife almost every day, for almost all tasks. They're very comfortable to hold and use. They are sturdy and heavy, but in a high quality way. Not so heavy that they feel unwieldy. The little paring knife is my least used out of this set, but I don't do much small and detailed cutting. Using it has been a pleasure, as the blade and handle are well balanced. The Babish bread knife is THE BEST BREAD KNIFE I have ever used, hands down. Actually slices through bread, whether it's stale and tough, or freshly toasted. Leaves behind minimal crumbs. Every other bread knife I've ever used just shredded the bread to pieces. This is a total game changer! These knives are very sharp just out of the box, you've been warned! PSA: BE VERY CAREFUL washing these, so you don't cut yourself. I have purchased the Babish Santoku knife separately, and I use it interchangeably with my chef knife almost every day. I was just gifted the Babish Clef knife--I'm very excited to try it out this fall season on some tough squash and pumpkin. I bought an adjustable knife sharpener/honer to keep these beauties working well for me for years to come. These would make an excellent gift. Read more

I ordered these because I wanted a new knife set that came with 4-5 quality knives instead of 15+ chinesium ones. I had no idea who this Babish guy was and ordered them based on looks and specs alone. They arrived and I was surprised to see that some bald guys face is all over them, I guess its the logo from the youtuber Babish, which I hadn't noticed in the pictures somehow. Its on the end of each pommel and both sides of the base of the magnetic board. They could've just written Babish and I would've been happier. This is my only gripe is the logo is ugly and they put it in too many places After using them for a few months all I can say is: Damn these things are sharp! They look gorgeous besides the egregious logos and I don't at all regret buying a smaller knife set vs a 15+ piece block style setup. The base takes up less room on the counter vs a block and the magnet is very strong. It's also double sided magnetic, so I threw a pair of kitchen shears and a small pairing knife on the back. Overall these are fantastic knives for the money. I only wish they'd dial back the generic bald guy glasses logo that every youtuber uses. Check the pictures closely but otherwise you'll love them. I’m impressed with this knife block. Very high-quality knives, extremely sharp, and a pleasure to use. The only thing I don’t like is the logo on each knife. I would prefer a cool symbol or graphic design rather than a sketch of a bald guy with glasses… LOL Read more
