Just received it, have several bissel & several pets. They all work great & are affordable. This one thoroughly cleaned my basement carpet, quickly. Great fast suction, easy 2 empty and clean. Will update in a few months. UPDATE: I really wanted to love this vessel because I've lost all my others I think they're great affordable vacuums. But this one definitely has some areas that need troubleshooting. This vacuum can overheat, dust does come out of the vacuum while you're vacuuming and I found that I had to constantly empty the container to prevent the dust from coming out. It also begins to make a high-pitch sound when it's on and the back was container is difficult to clean it makes a mess oh, because you have to twist the center part out to clean the top filter which gets clogged with dust and debris causing the dust to come out of the vacuum while you're using it. So I've had it and used it for just about a year and although I still love Bissell I wouldn't purchase this vacuum again and I wish I could find an older model that I used to use because I really love those. Feels a little chincy, but it's cheap. It is very basic, but it cleans very well. It has a narrow path, but that's not a big deal. Easier to get around stuff actually. It is quieter than my old Eureka "Boss" vacuum which was much more expensive, way louder, and almost twice as heavy. The noise it does make is a much more "pleasing" sound, not raggedy or schreechy like some vacuums. Power switch requires bending over to use. Extension tube (1) is not far enough, they need to include 2. It does not tip over. Cord is shorter than I'd like. Overall, for the price, it is a great vacuum. No, it's not a dyson or a Shark, but you don't have to take out a loan to buy it either. Read more

Overview Just over two months ago I purchased this vacuum for use in a two-bedroom apartment with both carpet and hardwood floors. This product is ideal for home owners or home renters, especially pet owners. You will find that this Bissell will pull up dirt and hair left behind by a similarly priced Shark branded vacuum, even if done immediately after use of the Shark. Features The most notable feature of this vacuum is its clear and bag-less dirt tank. This tank lifts off the vacuum with the press of one button and empties from the bottom, allowing you to simply place it over your garbage and press the release lever to get rid of the contents. The tank also contains a washable filter that can be removed and washed for repeat use. Secondly, this vacuum has five bristle-height options. These five options allow the bristles to either be lowered for maximum contact with carpet or raised to avoid contact with hard surfaces. When raised, the bristles and suction will continue to run, allowing you to utilize the suction to clean hardwoods or tile. Attachments This vacuum comes with three attachments that attach to the hose on the back, allowing for use on unique surfaces or hard to reach corners: β’ Turbo Brush β’ Crevice Tool β’ Upholstery Brush The Turbo Brush is ideal for use on rugs, or any spots that require extra attention. This attachment allows for faster bristles speeds than you normally get with the bottom bristles, making it ideal for cleaning up spills or any other accidents that may occur. The Crevice Tool is a plastic attachment that can extend your reach into hard to access corners. This tool is especially useful for getting behind trash cans, washers, and furniture. The Upholstery Brush allows you to clean furniture with soft brushes, while also providing suction on the surface to pick up any dirt. The Upholstery Brush can also be used to remove dust from a variety of surfaces. This vacuum performs as advertised, and at a price point below that of comparable products from other brands. If you choose to purchase this vacuum, it will be a great asset to help keep your household spotless for years to come! Read more

This has been one of the best purchases in recent history. I live in a rented apartment with white carpet and a man with very long hair and beard and a black cat--my carpets were disgusting. My old vacuum ended up just pushing the dirt around and I thought I was doomed to be living with a gross carpet forever, until I purchased this vacuum. It's lightweight; includes a crevice attachment, an extender, a small power brush, and a duster; has a long power chord; and is easy to empty and clean. I had to empty out the canister four times just vacuuming my living room and dining room, and I was able to deep clean the stairs for the first time in four years. My home is transformed and it's almost like we got new carpet! This is definitely an amazing purchase for the price--I would be hard pressed to believe a Shark or Dyson could radically outperform this vacuum. Read more

I have a dog who sheds a lot and hadn't been able to vacuum my apartment in three or four months. I bought this vacuum expecting something average, but it just may be the best vacuum I've ever used for under $150. It is really powerful, sucking up all the dirt and dog hair without having to go over it multiple times. It's also extremely quiet. My dog is usually afraid of vacuums, but this time he laid a few feet away watching curiously. Pros: powerful, quiet, good assortment of attachments, easy to clean, easy to dump dirt, excellent height adjustment. Appears to be quite durable. Cons: furniture attachment doesn't get much pet hair out, hose could be longer, power cord could be thicker (roommate ran over it and tore a hole in the insulation which I repaired with electrical tape), hose requires a bit too much physical force to pull out of socket.
