What I mean by if you can stand it is you must be ready for a very deep massage. I was expecting a light one and this is a serious unit. It works ok but you have to pull down on the straps to keep it in place. I thought the device would hang around your neck so you could sit upright in a chair at your desk. Pulling down on the straps is the only way have it snug enough against your shoulders to get any massage action so your arms/hands are not free to do anything else. Read more

It's helpful that it's portable. I have a c disc and d disc messed up in my spine so I have constant neck and shoulder pain. This helps me get through the day at work and then at night, it helps to loosen up those tight muscles. The heat makes it even better.
