The magnetic stand is a very convenient place to mount my Samsung Ultra whatever-it-is hand brick while I'm in our Kitchen cooking, cleaning up, or working on my usual odd stuff at the kitchen table. I use mine several times every day. This rotating magnetic stand, with its large grippy rubber pad securing its bottom most part in place would work great anywhere there is about 8" of level space, including but not exclusively in kitchens. The device grabbing magnet at the upper far end of the extending arm/"neck" is secure and strong, and has never let go of my heavy phone without my firm insistence. The extending arm with its rotating base make it easy to move a phone or tablet to an optimal height and direction for viewing and conversing at a distance. There was one small-ish issue when it arrived: the "neck"/extension arm was barely able to hold my phone up, so I'm sure it would not have held up a tablet. Correcting the whimpy-droopy neck was an easy fix. The little silver disks at the pivot points are adhesive covers for the hardware that holds everything together. Those silver disks can be easily popped off and put back in place. I removed the silver spots and tightened the bolts at each hinge with an Allen Wrench. Easy peasy! I popped the silver disks back on and it was even better than new. The extending arm is now secure enough to hold the weight of a hefty phone or tablet without acting whimpy or droopy. This nifty gadget is a great way to place a phone or tablet on a secure and easily portable articulated stand that takes up minimal space. I think I need a few more. Read more

OHHH MY GOD I LOVE THIS THING I use this all the time! I had planned on taking this to work to use at my desk when I use my phone to "cowork" but when I opened it to try it out before work one day while I pop up YouTube and do my skincare, it immediately became part of my routine. I use it every morning to hold up my iPhone during skincare. I also use it to hold up my phone when I'm filming my crafting work. The metal base is heavy enough that I can move it around wherever I'm working - bathroom counter, craft table, desk, wherever. It's a STRONG magnet. VERY sturdy and well made. I've been using it for two months now and it's been perfect. It's a bit bigger than I think most people would like, but it's designed to handle full-size iPads, so it needs that solid base.
