This phone holder is perfect for my needs. My car is older than average, and it doesn't have a natural place to put your phone. I don't need GPS on a regular basis, but on occasion I do. It's particularly needed for road trips to unfamiliar places. I am wary of vent-perched phone holders; I fear their weight and the weight of my phone will break the vents, which were never made with the idea that anything would be hung off of them. I don't want to mount anything on my dashboard since I don't use my GPS regularly and dont want anything permanently affixed to the dash. A phone holder that fits in the center console cup holder that extends the phonw up toward me - that is both sturdy but also easily removable - was what I had in mind. And this fit the bill (as well as my cup holders, which are on the small side). Assembly/installation was in fact incredibly easy. I overthought it a bit, but it was just that simple. I like that the exact height of the phone can be adjusted. I love that twisting the bottom piece of the phone holder tightens it into the cup holder and anchors it in place AND the fact that the holder itself is easily taken off when/if you don't want to use it. The phone is gripped nice and tight at all times; I have no concerns on that front. A truly handy solution if you have the same vehicular concerns/constraints that I do. Read more

This phone holder that uses a cup base is very sturdy and well made. I was skeptical about how stable the phone holder would be but it is very stable because the cup base is expandable so it exactly fits in your cup holder. You need to retract the cup base to take the holder out but that only requires a few twists of the knob. The tilt, hight, and position the phone faces are all quickly and easily configurable. This is built to last and can easily be moved from one vehicle to another. I like that it’s easily removable and not glued down to the dashboard or windshield. But one downside is you will lose the use of one cup holder. My cup holders are built into my console. I’m thinking this would not work so well with cup holders that pull out and retract. But if you have the built in kind of cup holder, then I recommend this phone holder. Read more

I got this to replace my old one that would not hold my phone due to the larger phone case I use. The lower bracket stops my phone from sliding down and falling off and the side brackets open enough to hold a larger case and snap shut holding the phone firmly in place. As a storm chaser I cannot afford to keep having my phone fall off with every bump I come across. The lower bracket has a slot that fits the charging cable nicely. The upper arm slides up and down making it great for just holding phone or raise it up to above the dash to get the videos I need when chasing. The unit was easy to install and position properly. The material used is a durable quality. So far the unit works well. The only complaint I have is the cup holder part that screws in tends to come loose easily. Other wise I would give a 5 out of 5. This is a really good car phone holder. It comes with instructions on how to put it together and adjust it to fit your phone and your cup holder. It’s pretty easy to put together. The arm moves up and attaches easy to the phone mount. You can adjust the pieces on the phone mount to fit your phone. The arm adjusts to go in the position you want it in for use. The base has a piece that expands to tighten in the cup holder. Once the phone holder is in place and everything is tightened down, it stays in place very well. Thisi is a sturdy and well made phone holder. I drive an older car that doesnt really have a place for a phone holder to go. When I saw this item, I thought correctly that this could be the solution to my issue with my phone when I need directions. The assembly was easy as the pieces fit together well. I got this phone mount for my fiancé because his vehicle doesn't have a built in navigation system. This fits in the cup holder and holds his phone so he can use the navigation on his phone. It's fairly easy to put together and install although for the most part I had to figure it out myself because the instructions aren't very detailed. Once installed it's very nice and easy to use.
