I'm quite impressed with this sleek espresso making machine, the Casabrews 5418 PRO. I am sipping on my freshly made latte as I write this review. Setting it all up out of the box took a reasonable amount of time, the instructions provided were helpful and I was up and running in no time. They have helpful picture instructions on how to use for the first time, preheating, making espresso and heating/frothing milk. I did watch a few youtube videos and casabrews videos to help me along further with teaching me how to effectively use the machine and all the parts. The pros: -sleek and slim machine -it makes a delicious espresso -you can easily move between making a shot of espresso and heating up milk with the wand or making another cup of espresso quickly, which is a great feature with little wait time if you are making more than 1 cup at a time. I believe this is one of the main features between the more expensive 5418 PRO and the 5418. -the frothing spout heats up milk/cream quickly -the water tank is helpful so I can make multiple shots and steam/stream hot water ready to go -the frother wand can swing in/out -cleaning is relatively easy, although it does take a few minutes to clean the spout/the brew head/portafilter/drip tray -the pressure gauge is a nice feature to see that you are in the right zone The cons: -the machine is slim and lightweight, so fitting in or removing the portafilter takes a little finesse, using one hand to hold the machine in place while the other fits the portafilter in/out -while the frother spout is great for heating up your milk/cream quickly, it's not as great at frothing/foaming or maybe I just haven't figured it out yet. I have to use a separate frothing wand. All in all, a good machine for it's value, the pros outweigh the cons and the cons are minor inconveniences. The amount of money I'm saving by making my own tasty lattes is great. Read more

This little machine works unbelievably well, and it is super fast. It heats the water instantly, and looks great while doing it. I love that it takes up less space on my counter and I can make a Cappuccino in less than five minutes from start to finish. The frothing wand is especially nice. It’s sturdier than some that I’ve used and the angle is perfect. I can froth my milk from silky to nearly stiff in seconds, and it is hot! I find no need to preheat anything. I dog sit and I’m frequently at other people’s houses. This machine is so light that I take it with me everywhere! Thank you so much for a great little Espresso maker with brand new technology! It’s the best part of my day! Read more

I have only had this for about a week and have already made enough drives to save me about 100 dollars at Green labeled coffee market. I think its a great little little machine and worth the money if you are daily coffee consumer. It is a very functional machine and very easy to use. Great for people who are wanting to start off somewhere. It is very compact and and fairly quite as well. The brew temps are great as well, which I'm surprised coming from such a small machine. Zero complaints. This machine has been working perfectly for the few months I’ve had it, even with daily use. The portafilters it comes with allows you to use pre-ground coffee. I upgraded to a bottomless portafilter out of preference, but kept the originals because I still use them on occasion (pre ground decaf for a nightcap!). Pulling back to back shots with practically no “warm up time” and having the powerful steam wand ready in 3 seconds is amazing. The wand is powerful enough to make latter art! The shots pull consistently, 1 or 2 ounces everytime. The design is really sleek and nice, takes up hardly any space at all. Would definitely reccomend this to anyone looking for a solid entry level machine! Read more

My household has been using the Casabrewa 5418 PRO multiple times a day for over a month now. It's function and directions are excellent. With some experimenting, it makes acceptable and delicious espresso. This is an entry model machine that does exactly what you want it to. It heats fast and produces espresso fast. However, for the price point the amount of plastic is a bit disappointing. The machine has the appearance of being stainless steel while being constructed almost entirely of plastic. If you want an entry level espresso machine and you don't mind the plastic, this is an excellent option. Read more

We've had our CASABREW 5418 Pro for several weeks now and are delighted with it. It has a small footprint, so sits under our cabinets, taking up not much more than 6 inches of width. It is well constructed, with study solid moving parts with plenty of power for steam and making the espresso. I don't think the entire housing of the unit is steel, few machines offer that these days, especially the smaller units. But the essential parts (nozzles, puck housing, etc.) do appear to be steel. The water tank is tucked on the backside and is ample. It's simple to use and comes with a tamper, puck, and a single and double espresso basket, so all you need to add is the coffee. We compared this with other compact espresso machines sold at much higher prices. We are happy with this one. Read more
