I love this portable unit. This looks pretty cool and does its job. I am living in a 2600 sqft house and have 4 rooms. I am living in south California. The electric bill is over $400 in the last summer for using the central AC...Then I am thinking to buy a portable AC in my room to save some money..I know the AC will be out of stock when summer comes so I decide to buy it earlier..Well this one is more powerful than I thought, cool enough, and wind pretty strong..It comes with a remote and also a console on the machine to adjust the wind and temp. it puts out cool air and takes time to cool down area. Not very forceful air flow but did cool room almost in general location. The window attachment is way long for my windows and the length is not mentioned in info on website. No foam seal or brackets to attach to anything so the hose frame assembly relies on window and enginuity of owner to get it in place and sealed from outside \ inside air mixing. My frame to which the exhaust corrugated hose attachment fits is cracked apart from end in curved slide 8 inches across this frame so am being careful not to make it worse since the other solid slide piece can't be used in my window. Heavy and awkward to push around if you need to do so. Won't move on pile carpet well at all. My carpet is indoor/outdoor carpet on cement floor so rolls with a bit of effort. This has to do for now as can't afford to get another or send this back as box it came in is shot to heck from getting it out in the first place and can't lift it to get it wrapped in car to take to USPS, UPS or Fedex to return. Since does put out cool air and can cool my room to where my piano will be okay, must use. DISAPPOINTED in so many ways in what claimed and what it does. Instructions say the corrugated pipe is attached to the other parts to attach it to the machine and window slide but not so and was hard to get it attached to them. Used metal duct tape for HVAC. Hose too short if have High window seals like in a garden level or basement or just height at chest level like mine. Read more

The media could not be loaded. We bought this to replace our 14k btu delonghi portable ac unit. It has been very humid in Indiana lately that it would fill-up with water way to fast. This ac unit had a high drain plug for continuous draining which in the video you can see we use a water jug with the hose that came with the unit for humid days. The unit hasn't filled up with water on humid days as it evaporated it all but on humid days we like to use the jug so the ac unit doesn't have to work so hard. This 12k btu ac cools out living room faster than our 14k ever has. The ac unit has 3 fan speeds and the high speed definitely spreads the cool air quickly. Has two filters that can be clean. That's a plus since our last one didn't have a filter on the bottom and this is needed with a house with animals to keep hair out of the coils! Definitely recommend this ac unit! Read more

We bought the Costway 10,000 for our Living Room/kitchen/dining area and it did amazing…it did so well we bought the Costway 12,000 to replace the unit in the living room and moved the living room unit to the back of the house. When I tell you these units COOL DOWN your house…I MEAN it and it’s quiet…doesn’t sound like a jet engine. We are in South Louisiana with temps ranging from 105-107 and 120 on the heat index with the humidity. Our AC unit for the house is struggling and our electric bill is astronomical. These 2 units are keeping our house cooler than our AC. I’ll be buying smaller Costway units for bedrooms and for our camper. You cannot go wrong with this brand. I highly recommend it. Read more

The delivery speed was very fast, and it started to be used after a few hours of storage. It was very cool, and the sound was not too loud. It was quieter than I expected. The old air conditioner in my bedroom was broken and could not be repaired. Portable air conditioner has become my first choice. I have never used this type of air conditioner before and don't know how it works. Unexpectedly, the bedroom of 400-500 square feet will cool down in 5 minutes to 10 minutes. The hot summer has finally been solved. The most important thing is that the room can be used as long as the exhaust pipe is connected to the window, and the exhaust pipe and the window baffle are all gifts. The function is similar to other air conditioners. The main reason is that the wind is strong and the cooling effect is good, which is really good. Read more

I bought this Costway 9000 BTU unit with the expectation that it would last more than two seasons of light, seasonal use. Once I installed back, it did not cool entirely in the middle of a heatwave, the fan runs, but it blows room temperature air. Completely useless as an AC. The most frustrating part is Amazon support admitted the failure was disappointing but still refused to offer help, no refund, no credit, only contact info of the producer, just because it's past the return window. A seasonal appliance should last more than two summers (and only used for a month overall), and there should be some path to support when it clearly fails under normal use. Save your money and look for a brand and a platform that stands behind its products. Read more
