I purchased this curling iron for my daughters. They have pin straight hair and this works great. It gives you the option of three different types of curls depending which part of the barrel you use. NO dreaded clamp makes it so much simpler. It heats up so fast which makes the hustle of getting ready for work/school so much easier. Even with the highest heat setting her hair doesn’t have any frizz to it, it has a nice polished look to it. It has different heat settings for whatever hair type you have, that’s a huge plus as one of my daughters has very thick hair so she needs a bit of a higher temp and the other has thin hair. This was actually pretty amazing to use! I was able to get tight cute curls all the way to lazy simple wavy curls! Which is amazing because curls never tend to stay in my hair with other curling rods/irons. This curl lasted ALL day! Yes it was a test run and an amazing one at that! I don't use hairspray or anything to keep the curls there so I was amazed it lasted all day this time! So did the lazy wavy curls as well!! I'm such a happy camper with this product! I have a wand that I really like, but it isn't dual voltage, and I need one I can take with me on a trip to the UK. I got this one as a comparable model, and it has been great so far. I had my last wand that is this same size for about 7 years and accidentally left it in a hotel. That said, I was excited to upgrade. This wand has a few things that annoy me. Maybe not you- it's not a terrible product by any means, just annoying. 1) It only goes up to 230 degrees - I have VERY thick hair, and I'd prefer a little warmer to get the job done faster 2) The heat up and down buttons are in an inconvenient location- while using the want I turn it off almost every single time I left it for another strand. Also, just GETTING the wand to go up in heat is a whole thing. You have to press the up button multiple times and then sometimes it locks it at a certain temp. It looks like a simple piece, but I guess it isn't. I just want up/down, on/off and not to hassle with it turning off while in use and me not even knowing it or for it locking and having to figure out how to unlock it and then try to turn it back up again. I make too many decisions a day, I really need this part of my life to be mindless. All of that said, it works. It's sleek. And definitely gets the job done. Maybe I just have fat fingers ;) Read more
