So far so good. Good basic laptop. Seems to work ok. Froze once during initialization, but seemed fine after that. The battery kind of sticks out in the back, making the laptop chunky and a little awkward in the hands. Its also pretty heavy. However I get the feeling it can crunch data pretty quick, and loads fast enough. Im not going to be cycling with it or carrying it around alot, so it's fine for me, but if you are looking for something like that, this may not be your laptop. Anyways I'm happy with my purchase. Very utilitarian, almost industrial feel to this item. Update: A few months after purchase, the charger stopped functioning. I contacted the seller, and they QUICKLY responded by sending me a new charger without any further cost to me. I will DEFINITELY be using this company again. They have made a great impression on me. When I got it, I added more memory, a new drive and converted it to a Linux Mint laptop. I created, edited, and published a weekly Pod-Cast with this laptop. I did not use the built-in audio for this purpose. I used a Sennheiser microphone and a small mixing board which were all purchased here on Amazon. The laptop got about 12 hours of constant use per day! When recording, I used it on battery and got about 9 hours of use before it needed a charge. For some reason battery life is shorter in Microsoft Windows any version, which it originally came with. While I hated to see it go, this computer is retired now because the keyboard failed and no good quality keyboard replacement was available at the time I needed it to work. So I had to work fast to keep my Pod-Cast episodes on time. I bought another laptop, here on Amazon, and I am very happy with that one too even though it is a different brand. This laptop looks brand new. It came well packaged and with the charging brick wrapped in bubble wrap but with nothing else like instructions etc. I plugged it in to fully charge and then started it up. It immediately booted and I turned on the wifi. Immediately connected and I was in business. No problems surfing the web, playing youtube's, online forums etc. I do not game. I did try Internet Archive and an old movie and it played without any problems. All works as it should. I connected an external 21in monitor and keyboard via the ports and it instantly turned them on allowing it to be used for a home system if I desired. Crisp color, ease of use and no glitches. The loaded Windows10 instantly asked for an update so I did that. Went fine. I did not try the webcam as I do not use one so don't know about that but considering everything else works fine I have no doubt it would too. Unfortunately if I could I would give this product negative stars! Complete scam! When we opened the computer the inside was filthy, the cloth we wiped it down with was black after we were done. When we turned it on there were purple lines through the entire screen as seen in the pictures above. As the computer tried to boot up we waited to see if the purple lines would disappear. The computer was very slow to boot up which is probably because as the sticker on the laptop keyboard showed it was a Windows 7 computer that they had just installed windows 10 on, which is not compatible. After about 30 minutes the purple lines did disappear and we were able to start using the computer. It was very slow on the Internet and even to open email. We then discovered that the battery did not Hold a charge, once unplugged from the power it lasted about 10 minutes and died and it had been plugged in for over three hours. We also discovered that every time the laptop was closed after using and then re-opened the next time the purple lines were present on the screen. This laptop is a complete scam not worth the money or the hassle thankfully Amazon has a great return policy and we were able to get our money backVery easily and quickly. Pros: Advertised as 2.5 GHz processor - the one I received was 2.7 and benchmarked at 3.1. Advertised as 4GB ram - came with 8GB. Came with Win 10 pro - if it says you can't activate it use the activation code on the bottom of the computer - it works I switched out the hard drive for an SSD and this thing is screaming fast - Win 10 fully boots in 6 seconds. Cons: They didn't package it right so the box was just hanging open when it arrived. The screen and keyboard were FILTHY. Just took a minute to clean it but this and the sloppy packaging shows they do not care about quality. The screen is in very bad condition. Useable but stained and scratched badly. The webcam is so blurry its unusable. I don't plan to carry this around as a laptop. I just plugged in an external monitor, keyboard and webcam so I don't care about the screen and webcam problems. For my purposes this is great. If you plan to actually use it as a laptop stay away. The condition of the elements important for that was terrible. Read more
