I live in a split level house with awkward size living room windows so I need portable air conditioner to cool my upstairs living/dining/kitchen area (approx. 600 sq. ft.) I was a little skeptical ordering an AC unit online, but I’m so glad I went with this one. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up (even for someone who isn’t super handy). It cools the room down fast and keeps it comfortable even on really hot days. It’s quieter than I expected too — I can sleep with it running and not be disturbed. I have a medium size bedroom and I’m not really good at following instructions, but it was pretty easy to set it up except for the parts that go in the window. I just wanted it set up quickly and I just did my best. I’m sure a professional could’ve done much better or someone that is handy with reading instructions and following them. After I did that, I just plugged it in put the batteries in the remote and I set it to high, the coldest setting and I left my bedroom for about 5 to 10 minutes and came back and I was excited that I wasn’t going to spend a hot humid day at home. After a few minutes, I finally had to turn it off because I was freezing. I’m not complaining. I’d rather freeze than fry - but this unit is stellar and I’m going to order another one today for my son and daughter-in-law. Used it twice last summer. Went to use again this summer and it only blows warm air. 1 week out of warranty and customer service says take a hike. Seems to me it was leaking refrigerant the whole time it was in warranty. Not happy... Read more

This worked great the first summer. Now it won't cool at all. Running all day at 60 degrees but room temp according to the app is 87 degrees. Della is no help. Their customer service is absolute garbage. They want me to jump through hoop after hoop to even do anything. First they told me to use the app and show the temp. I did and they said thats not good enough. They want me to use a thermometer by the air and take a picture to prove it doesn't work. Your stupid app proves it doesn't. The air temp around the unit cannot be 87 degrees if the air coming out of the unit is 60 degrees. The fan and ac feel the exact same. Im running it in the same place with the same setup as last year and it just doesn't work. I purchased an extended protection plan through assurion but since this is still under manufacturers warranty they can't do anything. Della is an absolute joke of a company and I will never buy from them again. I definitely don't want a replacement because their products and customer service suck. It would be nice to be reimbursed though since this garbage is still under warranty. Thats what I get though for not buying a more reputable brand Update after speaking to 7 different people over the course of 2 days someone in customer service was finally nice enough to help me. They ended up sending me a new unit and honoring their manufacturers warranty. I wish I had this person's name because he was the only helpful person I spoke with and the only one who tried to help. As a result I have upgraded my rating to a 3. I will not go any higher because the unit broke after less than 1 year and it took me talking to 7 different people and jumping through hoops to get resolution. The unit arrived safely and appeared okay to start using right away (was upright). All of the parts were present. I now have 3 portable units and this one is so quiet when on low I could not hear it from across the room. Downloaded the app and love the ability to program on and off times. Cools the room efficiently as well. The evaporative ventilation works great. I have not needed to empty any water from the machine. I would definitely buy one again. Read more
