I have a mid century house with peaked ceilings and no AC. It’s the PNW and I have a lot of trees so I rarely felt like I needed AC until a few years ago when summers got much hotter here. The windows don’t allow for window units so I’ve only ever used those giant free standing AC’s in bedrooms but nothing worked in my more open plan living/dining/entry area until this! It’s not central air but it took the temp in there from 86° to 74° in 30 minutes! It definitely keeps it in the bearable range, which when it’s very hot out, even my closing up of everything all day did not. It’s a solid value for money and seems fairly well made. Longer term, we’ll see but it was durable enough for me to lug it to work without taking it apart when our AC was having issues there. It’s low enough profile to just look like a pillar fan. The hardest thing about it is that because there’s water, you need to clean it regularly. It’s a little finicky to connect the hose to the tank, especially when full of water but not a deal breaker. I don’t care about the remote control. They are just another thing for me to lose so I’ve never used it. Nice if you have mobility issues but not for me. Read more

Worth it for money I spent. So useful, air flow, air cooling, simple very useful. I am using every single day and night. I have two cats, they don’t even scare off while turn on runs so quiet. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is high tech fan. Don’t get me wrong, it performs better than transitional fans but to advertise it as a swamp cooler is something you have to judge for yourself. When you put the water and/ or ice coolers in it doesn’t last long. After 4 hours the tank is empty and needs to be refilled again. It comes with two ice coolers but I suggest buying more ice coolers because they don’t last long in the tank. Once that’s done, you do get a nice cool breeze. Overall, I don’t have any real complaints about it. Dreo makes great innovative products and the warranty is very good. Read more

This really does cool the room and also can be used as just a fan. It has a very good air flow. Read more

Don’t count on actual cooling. It could lower temp about 5, possibly down to 80? That’s not cool. Read more

I received the Dreo Evaporative Air Swamp Cooler during some of the hottest days. Upon initial setup, the fan worked but the pump that feeds the water to the fan for cooling did not run. I called customer service, and they could not figure out what was wrong. I had high hopes, but this unit was defective. Read more

I have cathedral ceilings in a large living room and dining area in a third floor condo and with this excessive hot summer we’ve had here so far, this fan has been a tremendous help in helping my ac to turn off throughout the day. I keep it a good 10 feet away from my thermostat. When I add the ice packs and ice water to the reservoir, it helps even better. For me it has lasted a good 7 hours before the water evaporates and I have to fill it again. Jewel had these ice packs for 1.99 each so I have extras. I’ve kept this fan on for days so far. Provides great circulation. Love that it uses little energy as well. Before I bought this, my ac would run for 8-10 hours straight in these 90 + degree days, until the sun started going down! I’ve tried other fans but this one in my opinion takes the cake. Read more

I went back and forth if I should order or not. I ordered and I’m super glad! I use it in the kitchen when cooking and it keeps me cool. I freeze water in small cups and add that or I use the plastic ice included. This is a great buy and I’m glad I bought it. Read more
