Dreo Portable Air Conditioners Fan 40 Standing Fans that Blow Cold Air Portable AC 80 Oscillating Evaporative Air

First, I live in AZ, it's HOT here. On top of that I have a huge computer system that puts out a ton of heat and A/C in AZ is not cheap, so running it lower just to cool my office was not a cost effective option. This turned out to be a great option! The little ice packs are small and when I first took them out of the box, I thought, yeah right. But, Yeah...Right! They work, it is much cooler than just a fan. It's not totally quiet, but it's not obnoxious like a box fan. If I ran it on high throughout the day, it used a lot of water. So, I played around with the speeds and controls to find a happy medium! It's ok, and it does work. We ended up just using it as a regular fan. It ended up being a lot to remember to freeze the ice pack and to fish it out in the morning. The design isn't my favorite. But I will say it did exactly as advertised and worked when we did remember the ice packs and water, which is why the four stars. I would get it if you are ok to do the daily water and ice maintenance. If not, just save a little bit more for a window unit! Read more

So I was very skeptical to buy this fan but I have bought deep fans before and I was very satisfied so I purchased it. I'm VERY happy I bought this fan. It's quiet, it's powerful and the water option is so so cool! (Literally) I was paying about $600 a month if used my AC at home so I was definitely looking for ways to cut back without being hot all summer. I highly recommend this Dreo fan because it works! Amazing product to replace a regular tower fan. Have yet to test it when the weather gets extremely hot. I do however live in a humid environment, so when it’s filled with cold water It does blow a nice slightly cool breeze. I can see the cooling system working even better in a dry climate. Not completely silent but a smoother sound than most standing fans. It’s come in very handy on warmer nights. Basic remote control for operating. Wish I had gotten the smart version to connect to my phone. Value at $100+ for a fan may seem crazy, but when your house is warming up during the day it’s great to have in one of your rooms. This item was exactly as described. The ice packs work well with cooling the water down. The remote works well enough within range. Definitely a bonus if used in hot,arrid non-humid environments. Air Flow is powerful, while the noise level is moderate & not overpowering. Read more
