The media could not be loaded. I picked up this Dreo evaporative cooler to replace my older unit from another brand that stopped circulating water after two years. I’ve been using Dreo’s air conditioner for over four years and have always been impressed with its performance, so I decided to stick with the brand—and I’m glad I did. Compared to my previous cooler, this one swings a bit faster, which I personally find less ideal for airflow distribution. However, the 4-speed settings are excellent. I usually keep it on speed 2, and it’s more than enough to cool my living room. The airflow reaches far and feels refreshing without being overpowering. It’s noticeably quieter than my old unit. The cross-flow impeller design really does make a difference—perfect for keeping the room cool without disrupting conversations or sleep. The standout feature for me is the honeycomb dust filter. My old cooler had a cardboard-style pad that would develop odors if not dried properly. Dreo’s filter feels much more hygienic and durable, and the removable water tank and grille make cleaning super easy. Overall, this cooler is a solid upgrade. While I wish the oscillation speed were adjustable, the cooling power, quiet operation, and thoughtful design more than make up for it. Dreo continues to impress with reliable and user-friendly products. Read more

I was skeptical, but this does work much better than a fan. The unit really does blow cool air. I took one star off because the ice packs that come with the unit are what keep the water cool. If the ice packs melt, you can feel the air become a little warmer. I also wasn’t sure how to secure the ice packs inside the unit that holds water. I thought the quick start instructions related to installing the ice packs were hard to understand. Read more

This has been a must have for our bedroom. We have cats who do not get along with the dogs and thus stay in our bedroom suite with the door closed. Consequently our room doesn't get good airflow. We already have a swamp cooler for the house, it just doesn't work great in our room. So I bought this handy little thing to help with the coolness of our room. This thing works great! I put water with ice cubes in it a couple times during the day and when I go to sleep at night the room is nice and cool. It is super easy to use and has 4 speeds. Filling the water cannister is very easy. I don't take the tubing out, I just pull the drawer out and fill it up. The cannister does get a bit slimy so it needs to be washed out every couple of weeks, but that is very easy to do. The controls are very well marked. This works much better than a plain fan and has been well worth the cost this summer. I highly recommend this especially if you live in a desert climate where there is not much humidity. Read more

Overpriced fan. It does GREAT as a fan, is quiet but it does not do what it’s supposed to do, it does t cool the room. The water compartment is useless and you’re wasting your money on this. You’d rather get a fan from the same company at half the price. Read more

Easy to assemble. Just snap on the base. I am pleased with this Dreo Evaporative Cooling Tower. It is very quiet. Will definitely be able to sleep with it running. Provides cooling air (even better when you use the blue frozen pack). It cools my front room nicely considering that it is early summer in the California high desert. I will be buying another one for the master bedroom. Read more

Just decided to pull this out today and it's amazing! The assembly is really quick. Just click the base together and attach to the fan and you're good to go. I filled my tank with ice and water. It comes with ice packs but of course they're not frozen upon arrival. Sounds like a regular fan even at the highest level of 4. The air is a whole lot cooler than I thought it would be. Make sure you purchase some citric acid. That is recommended for cleaning the tank. Not sure what the humidity button does. Literally can't tell any difference when I have it on or off. Otherwise a really decent purchase to keep cool! Update: it's very difficult to try and use the ice packs. They don't stay in place. Also the fan never uses all of the water in the tank completely so it just sits at the bottom of the tank. Make sure you clean this regularly with citric acid and or vinegar to prevent it from smelling weird. Read more

Owned it for a week or so. Cooler is good. Ice packs are bad. They expand to the point of blistering the blue plastic outside when freezing. One cracked a small leak at the top so water goes in and out when in use. Seems to be a solid gel so nothing seemed to leak out into the cooler water container at least. Contacted DREO CS, they seem nice and friendly so far. Read more

Provides decent cooling and the 80° oscillation helps circulate air, but it’s not as cold or powerful as expected. The fan is portable and easy to use, though a bit noisy at higher settings. An average option for light cooling needs. Read more
