I bought this game (the PS5 version) when the price was about $20, not really knowing what I was getting into. I've been feeling fairly ambivalent toward jrpgs lately, even though it was my favorite genre for most of my life (I'm a veteran gamer). To my surprise. Edge of Eternity was really fun! It reminds me of the Final Fantasy games of old. If you have the most nostalgia for games like Final Fantasy 8 or Final Fantasy 10, I feel like this could be the game for you. I went back and forth between giving this game 4 stars and 5 stars, but settled on 5. It's more like a 4 1/2 star game to me. I agree with the other reviewer who said some of the battles are unnecessarily long. The difficulty doesn't seem balanced sometimes. The graphics are also not great--they're like Playstation 3 graphics. Having said that, it's a fun game with a fun story. Read more
