So.. The charger itself has a small fan. It's very small and quiet (difficult to tell if it's even on), and it will dissipate the heat right behind the charger a bit to help cool the charging unit, but yes, on a hot day, especially if the sun is hitting the phone/charger, the tiny fan is too small to cool the charger and phone. Also, I feel like a white design would be better at staying cool. Anyways, I got my Pixel today and installed the Qi2.2 charger. Initially, everything was fine, but I moved the arm and neck around to move the phone up above the air vents, and the phone gave that "must cool down" warning, so I moved the phone back on the vents, and it was fine again. I placed mine on the left air vent, so it's often shaded, but if you use your middle vents, I probably wouldn't recommend 25W magnetic charging due to the higher risk in damaging your battery and other internal components. I drive with the AC on most of the time so it works for me. I played with the positioning a bit (very versatile btw) and it just needs a little part of the back to hit the AC flow. It gets hotter when it's charging rapidly and will slow down the charge speed to reduce heat so there's some built in protection there, so I found the right position/angle to cool enough in the sun at 72 degrees AC lowest setting. When your phone is above 70-80% and slows down the charging speeds, it doesn't get as hot. The charging speeds are very fast for wireless charging and I didn't test it scientifically, but a little shy of gaining 1% per minute. Maybe like 8% in 10 minutes? I tried connecting the 40W PD USB-C and it's considerably faster than wireless, so you can always just pop it off and plug in directly for wired charging. The magnets are strong and I've never used magsafe before, but the dock, hold, and pull-off feels very secure and has the right amount of hold. Could be a tad bit more pull on the lock, but I think once I get used to the magnet positions, it'll be less an issue. PLEASE, make these temperature sensitive car-accessories in WHITE color to stay cooler in the sun! The included car lighter adapter is very good value being included, but if the USB-C PD was upgraded to do 45W, it would be the PERFECT item for the Pixel 10 Pro XL since it maxes at 45W and it'll support max wireless and wired charging. Having a spare USB-A 18W QC port I thought was generous. The materials feel premium and sturdy. Honestly, I love this thing. It charges so fast! I just came from the Pixel 6 Pro which was 23W max wired, so this is pretty amazing. I only used this Qi2.2 charger for less than an hour, so I'll update this review if things change (mainly if I encounter heating issues), but I am ecstatic with my purchase so far. Read more

What a fantastic purchase and what a value. This included a USB-C cable, a car charging adapter with 40W PD output, a vent mounting kit with adjustable arm and a 25W Qi 2.2 magnetic charger with a built-in CryoBoost fan to keep the phone cool while charging. The magnet on this thing is so strong -- I love it. On top of that, I recently purchased the ESR Cloud Soft Silicon MagSafe case for my iPhone 17 Pro Max which also has a strong magnet. The two of these together hold VERY securely in my car. The vent mount looks great, but I am not using it. I have an AMPS-pattern mounting plate in my Nissan Leaf from ProClip USA and I paired that with an iBolt Scosche-style 17mm mounting ball instead just because I would rather not mount on my vent. But the vent mount looks very secure and nicely adjustable. Previous to this I have always owned phone mounts from ProClip USA. However, they have always been a bit pricey for their plug-charging ones that are adjustable ($100+). I was looking at their magnetic ones and I wanted a strong magnet because I had to return their older series one because of a week magnetic hold. Their new ones looked good, but I remembered ESR had the CryoBoost when I looked a couple years ago so I thought I would check out their new version. I am so glad I looked at ESR because this came with a better car charger, supported 25W charging and had built-in cooling all for a better price ($57 versus $75). I am very very happy with this purchase. Between this and my new favorite iPhone case ever, ESR has become my favorite tech accessory brand. Read more

I’ve been back and forth about this product because I used the 15W version and found it to be a fantastic charger for my phone. On one hand, the 15W charger never let me down and met my needs perfectly. On the other hand, the 25W charger is superior in every way. My Ford car uses a vent that’s more vertical than horizontal, and I had no trouble adjusting the hook for a customized, perfect fit for different car vent models. It’s highly customizable for different vent positions, and when tightened properly, it doesn’t jiggle. I also loved that my old version clicked into about eight different positions to prevent shaking, but this one doesn’t, allowing me to pick the perfect position I want while still holding it securely. The arm also seems to be a bit better at allowing the phone to have a bit more flexibility without the mount getting in the way. In testing, I was able to get about 31% charge in about a 23-minute trip back home from work while streaming music and using Apple Maps at the same time. To go from 18% up to 49% battery life in such a short time is really nice, especially when using the phone. The 15W definitely didn’t charge that fast when streaming and using navigation. I think this charger is definitely the one to go for now. The 25W has enough extras to make it worth the extra over the 15W, and it’s a good value since everything is included in the box to set it up with the mount, cable, and USB-C car charger. The only downside is that the USB-C charger doesn’t have two USB-C ports and instead offers the old USB-A port. Since I wanted to allow my passenger to charge their phone, I did get another two-port USB-C car charger. Read more

I works great charges my phone really fast it even fits on my vertical vents. Main problem with it is that the strength of the omni movement system is pretty bad. The magnet strength is super good on the other hand and holds my phone more than enough to the point I have to really try to peal my phone off its overall a great device functionally just wish the omni movement thing was stronger. The mount attaches to any air vent that is as wide as the mount; attachment is extremely easy. After mounting, the phone stays in position, and charging is also simple. Read more
