So, overall I dig the back triggers. They're clicky, responsive, & the grip texture is kind of a nice upgrade I wasn't originally even thinking about. I was initially concerned about the soldering (my soldering iron is a big gun shaped one for cars, not for circuitboards) but i managed to make it work regardless. One note: the touch pad ribbon cable adapter made me have to take my controller apart about 6x. You DO have to plug the 3rd piece that kinda blends in back into the original board connector. Sadly due to having to do that over & over meant the tool to release the side clips on the controller actually bent/ broke the brackets. Not a huge issue; but worth mentioning. Here's the tip most people (probably) wont think of. You wont be able to use your controller charging dock anymore. Entirely slipped my mind that adding this much bulk to the bottom would make the controller entirely too large to charge in the dock. Hopefully you have enough a 2nd controller and/ or a long charging cable. I'm realizing typing this that it sounds like im being far more negative than positive in my review despite goving it 4 stars; but thats more my own lack of thought that caused issues & less the fault of the part itself. I do wish they had matching Chroma Teal backing, but this will do. Works great. I got my first Extremerate Backpaddles in 2021 and used it with my black dualsense, but instead of replacing the battery, sticks, etc just got a new controller and am too used to playing with back paddles for games like Overwatch And Marvel Rivals.
