I’ve had this for over a month now. I live in a small home with a window unit on the other side of the house.. and to say that last year was unbearable in summer would be an understatement. I bought this and it’s significantly made my quality of life a lot better. I now sleep through the night without huffing and puffing in a humid room. It’s a little noisy but no more than a box fan I would say. Setup was a breeze and it was cooling the room 10 minutes after I got the box open. The design is very modern and sleek. I recommend it highly. UPDATE- I wanted to update this as I’ve had it for a few years. The unit still works flawlessly. The only thing that sucks (just a tiny bit) is having to drain the little bit of water from the rear bottom plug once in a while. Builds up over time. All you have to do is pull the bottom plug and let it drain into something and it’s usually very little. Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Read more

Had it for about a month now and it’s excellent. Immediately cools the room. It’s not silent, but compared to other portable units it’s the quietest one I’ve ever used and you can still have a conversation next to it while it’s running. I’m extremely happy with the purchase. Works great for our bedroom. Is not as loud as some of the reviews made me worry, but isn't silent. Pretty easy to install. I am not well versed in installing things and made it work. I did have to figure out how to cut plastic so it would fit. Go team me! The only drawback so far is that the oscillating part of the fan stopped working, so now it only blows upwards. But still works fine. It's a good size, and has not had any leaking problems so far. Read more

I’ll address the negatives first. This unit is very tricky to install. The window kit needs to be measured and cut to fit your window size. We’ve had other portable units and this is the first time we’ve had to cut the plastic to specifically fit a window. This also means it is not that portable if you want to use with different sized windows. Also the instructions tell you to drill holes in your window sash, which we did not do. The last negative is that inserting the exhaust hose in the window kit is way harder than you would expect. It constantly pops off when you follow the instruction manual. We ended up having to put 3 additional layers of foam tape to elevate the unit so as to not keep popping off. On the positive side: Once installed the unit has cooled off the small room very effectively. It is also much quieter than the other units we’ve had. I would recommend this AC if you are looking for a quiet and effective unit to cool off a specific room. If you want an AC that you are going to move around to different rooms I don’t think this is the best unit for you. Read more

I am very pleased with this A/C so far. There has been a crazy heat wave here in NH, 90+f everyday, and this unit keeps up just fine. It is very convenient for mobility and such. The install had a couple of challenges because my windows didn't have flat bottoms. The install instructions were pretty good though. All in all, it's a good unit. No buyer's remorse. On the topic of noise, it's an A/C and will make some noise, but it is not unusually loud in my opinion. I have it in my home office and spend time on meetings, and have no issues hearing people. The media could not be loaded. My unit is very loud, just under 68 decibels. I’ve done all the troubleshooting that I can, checked the panels, made sure it was on even flooring, etc. Furthermore, the listing says that it covers “up to” 450 square feet - but the box itself states it’s only good for 250 square feet. I feel as though I’ve been misled by the marketing. As for cooling capabilities, it’s very poor. After running the unit for 8 hours, or struggled to reach 5 degrees cooler. In the meanwhile, the temperature outside had dropped more than ten degrees, meaning it was colder outside. Overall, I’m very dissatisfied. The claims are inconsistent and don’t match up to performance. I won’t be able to return it, either, since I’m disabled and can’t transport it. Read more

Omgosh, so much easier to install than my Arctic king, I could not even believe it! The rollers are super smooth too. As someone else said, I had to have a neighbor cut off about an inch of the window insert because it was way to long for my standard windows. Works great so far, hope it lasts for at least 5 years for us. Read more
