This blender really surprised me! It’s affordable, works perfectly, and runs with surprisingly low noise compared to others I’ve owned. The build quality is solid, with sturdy parts, quality design/look, and glass pitcher instead of plastic. Cleaning is simple with detachable base/blades. Debating whether to spend the money on an expensive big name brand for assurance/quality or save money and get something cheap that’ll hopefully get the job done for now and last for a little while to justify some money spent? Very happy with this blender. My sons love to make smoothies and milkshakes and this blender works great. Love the single serve blend cup that has its own dedicated blade and a lid for drinking. The large blender cup holds so much and does a great job chopping and mixing. 2 speeds are nice options as well as the pulse button. I usually don’t spend more than $20-$30 on a blender and they always break or don’t fully break down big chunks. I spent a bit more this time around and it was worth it. Great value for the quality and didn’t break the bank like some blenders costing upwards of $100. Update: I broke the pitcher within a week and contacted to seller to purchase a replacement on September 22. Customer service responded right away, asked me to pay $12 via PayPal and they would send a replacement pitcher which would take 2-3 weeks to arrive. I paid immediately, sent a receipt and they responded my pitcher would be mailed. It took about a month but I did receive my new pitcher. Great customer service. Read more

I seldom use a blender but am now drinking smoothies, so decided to buy a machine that does both. I agreed with one of the reviewers - there's seldom a need for 10 blender speeds, so having a low/high and a pulse (to unstick / get started) felt like enough, and so 40 for a combo unit with 1200w is a good deal (and the base is easy to clean!). Both containers lock in easily with a quarter turn, and knob lights up when they are locked in. I appreciate that the larger container is glass - AND the smoothie jar threads match wide canning jars that I have on hand, so I can use a glass pint ball jar instead of the plastic one! (Also means I won't have to buy spare parts if the plastic jar breaks.) The smoothie gasket is huge (1/2" wide) and loose, so it is very easy to take out for cleaning (vs. having to pry it off with a fork and damage it). But it also falls out! So if I don't notice, I clean up a mess. The large jar gasket is smaller and hard to remove - but might not have to be removed for cleaning very often anyway. My only concern about performance / design is that small items (slices of frozen banana) don't seem to blend well if the rest is already blended, unless I run it for a long time. Previous blenders had issues with food getting stuck vs. leftover bits not being pulled down into the blades - the high speed on this model seems to grind through almost anything, so I can live with a few random banana sections on occasion. Leaks from the bottom since the blades can be removed and the glass in that area shaves off and chips. I wonder how much of it actually ended up in my body in the last couple weeks I’ve been using it. The shaker bottle doesn’t blend properly due to the blades being too high up. Read more

I've used it a couple of times, and it works great. The glass cup is not XL. I got that impression from the picture; it's still great and enough for my household. You need a glass cup like this when preparing spicy salsa so the flavor doesn't stick to the plastic. Read more

This is a nice blender but it’s not really a ‘personal blender.’ This is a smaller version of the big clunky glass one I already had. The glass body is HEAVY and for someone who isn’t particularly strong and has a bit of arthritis in my hands ,this is not usable. Because it isn’t a personal blender, using it then requires washing two items — the blender glass blender, and the cup I pour it into to drink, A personal blender is the blender and xup to hold the blend are one in the same. If you want a traditional countertop blender, this is a good choice. If you want a personal blender, this is not it. Read more
