The Geenie product with 2 usb with an outlet; only the outlet is timer programmable. The USB’s are always on. I’ve purchased 22 Geeni WiFi plug-in outlets of various models inclusive of single, double w/usb, 4-switch, several 6-switch outlet strips, and 2 outdoor models for the front and back deck holiday lights as well. They work very well and reset when power goes down. That being said, the only issue I’ve had is due to Spectrum internet constantly dropping which gave two of my Geeni units problems with missed on/off times, I reset those units. Since I’ve switched to Alta fiber 1Gb service with 4 Amazon Eeros mesh 6e units. The combination of eeros with fiber allows for a seamless operation with zero problems. The better your network, the stronger consistent symmetrical up/down use with no throttling back. I highly recommend the Geeni & Eeros products together. I’ve not been paid for this review, this is on my own perceptions of everyday use. Alta Fiber also uses Eeros routers for their customer based service installs. Read more

The plug works well, it is easy to set up and connect to your WIFI, Insulation and connection only took a few seconds, I have other WIFI devices in my home with have been a little involved to set up this outlet connected instantly. USB charging ports work great. I can plug my cord into the port and just leave it there with out worry that it will come loose and disconnect from the outlet. Read more

Setup was easy, but the timer only works for the plugs, the USB remains active, so cannot control a device powered by usb. Read more

The product description states: " and control 3 devices from anywhere at any time". This is wrong! You can not control the usb ports from anywhere, only the single 120v outlet can be controlled. I returned since the device did not meet the only need I bought it for. The product does connect to the app easily. The app recognized the plug as soon as i plugged it in. No connecting to wifi networks or searching for devices. Read more
