She is able to wrap it around her bandaged hand for the first 2-3 days after surgery. It is not long enough to use the thumb hole and use it over the bandage. She is able to just wrap it around the wrist which keeps it in place fairly well. I wish they would have either made the product an inch or two longer or sold a longer version.
