I use this as a hot pack. Oh my goodness, it is AMAZING. I was using some of the flexible gel hot packs (the ones that can go in the freezer or microwave) and they were okay but never could really get into the spot I needed. With the hot water bottle, it's heavy and will smoosh down to fit whatever body shape you sit it on because it's basically a bag. I mostly use this for the front of my hip, and it is perfect. I can lie back in a recliner, plop this on top, wrap in a blanket and it will stay hot for nearly an hour AND it gets full contact with the treatment area. I love it and i wish i would've found it sooner. Here's how I use it: withe the size i got, it holds 4 cups of water. I have a 2-cup measuring cup that i will fill and microwave for 2 minutes, pour into the bottle, then repeat.
