This is an interesting mouthwash. It’s not alcohol based. Upon receiving this mouthwash, the first thing I noticed was it’s only 8 ounces. $20 for 8 ounces translates to $2.50/ounce. To me that’s a little steep. I can’t say this is a great value. The whitening agent is hydrogen peroxide. That’s not an expensive ingredient. Because of the small amount of liquid here, I’ve been taking pretty small nips of it to swish around. The taste is unlike any traditional mouthwash. I’ve used hydrogen peroxide to make a homemade mouthwash, and I can taste it there. However, there is a minty flavor here. It really isn’t unpleasant. No burning at all, unlike the alcohol based mouthwashes. Instructions say to use it after eating to remove debris. I’m sure that using it at this time keeps debris from staining your teeth and the hydrogen peroxide can do its thing. The problem is, I’m not carrying this around with me. The only time I use it after a meal is after dinner. So I’m not strictly following instructions. My teeth are fairly white already. I don’t smoke or drink coffee. I’m not seeing a lot of whitening, but I didn’t need a lot. I do like the way it leaves my mouth feel, but it isn’t really minty fresh. It’s hard to explain. Overall, it’s not a bad product. I’m just not wild about the performance for the price. If I could give half stars, I’d give 3.5 stars. In this case I round up and reluctantly give the product the benefit of the doubt. Read more
