I use these plugs all over my house for lamps and many other devices, Christmas tree lights, guitar amp, etc. I have several of them, ordered another pair. They work great- and respond instantaneously. You can toggle on/off just as fast as you can tap your phone with your finger. You can control your plug from across the country with your smartphone. Important: These will only work on a 2.4Ghz wifi signal. Check your router to see what frequency it transmits. I have a good Tri-band wifi router that transmits one 2.4ghz and two 5.0 ghz wifi signals. Easy to set up, worked flawlessly. I originally punched three, put them in service, happy with the results. After three weeks, one wifi outlet simply stopped working. The power indicator would not light up, even when tested in a known-good outlet. I returned it and purchased two more. The app' is intuitive, making installation and operation easy. Do not be afraid to try these for fear of setup hassles. It truly is easy! ...Three months on and I am in the process of returning a second unit. It simply stopped working, just like the first one mentioned above. I have four units (of which only two are in use currently), and I am at a return rate of 50%!!! Not real excited about this. It is an easy item to set up and use, which evidently stops working with no notice. It 'burns out'? The power indicator is no longer working, and when I try to use the outlet, Alexa simply informs me that 'bedroom light' is not working. The Jinvoo SmartHome plugs are the ones I buy again whenever I need more. Jinvoo are as easy as any other Brand to set up with the phone Jinvoo app. Just know that you have to set them up in the Jinvoo app before you can get Alexa to talk with them. This can be a bumpy road. Occasionally I have to reset the plug a second time and rerun the setup before I get the Jinvoo app to see the plug. But after this, it's smooth sailing with setup within the Alexa app. The Alexa app has never failed to recognize a new Jinvoo device (unlike some other brands available on Amazon). And unlike other brands, the Jinvoo smartplugs do NOT fail after 5 months. Jinvoo keeps going after years and years. This is not an ad for Jinvoo by a company shill. I've been using for about a month now in the house and in the unheated barns. It seems to be perfectly responsive to Alexa voice commands. Setup was easy with the Alexa app and because it's wireless it doesn't require a proprietary (and hence annoying - looking at you Philips!) hub. iPhone app works great, but with Alexa I rarely use it other than to set up schedules and add new devices to the network. Just got another 2 pack along with my other 8 or 9 smart plugs. Love these things - simple & fast to add to the app on your phone. Now with one touch from the app I can change all my landscape lights to a new start/stop times. Very important during Day Light Savings time. I would highly recommend these plugs to anybody. Scott. I have these all over the house for turning on lights at random times, makes it appear we are home when we *might* not be. UPDATE: I’ve used these plugs for a while now and they work flawlessly, however the application used to control them doesn’t work well at all which makes them much less useful. I was using an iPad to control them but suddenly one day the schedules I had setup disappeared. So far, I haven’t been able to retrieve the programming from the server, but the plugs still work according to the schedule. Since I can’t update the schedule, I’ve unplugged most of them since the schedules need an update and that makes them useless to me. I contacted the seller about it, but he told me to reset them but didn’t tell me how. Very poor follow up. Read more

Really could not ask for an Easter set up. The one downside is it requires internet connection and will not work if your not connected. Great product with the okay jinvoo software. The software let's you set up times and conditions to turn switches on and off. Like turn on or off in sunset or turn on my heater if the temp is below 60 in my town/turn of the heater if it gets hot out. Killer feature being after setup Google home and alexa can control them. ... but I bought a two pack. When they arrived there was a marked difference in the feel of the buttons. The one that works had a crisp clicking button while the other feels mushy and presses far deeper into the case. If both worked as well as the one, these would be a 5 star product.
