The ground hole (circle) is very tight when inserting a computer power cable, who's ground pin is thicker than standard US plugs. Since one of my uses was for a monitor, I had to find a way to push the plug into the mini plug. While in my hands and not in use, I stuck a flat-head screwdriver that would fit vertically, and then twisted it horizontally until I was able to push the spring-loaded pin grips apart. I left it like that over night and the next day, while I did struggle, I was able to successfully insert the power cord plug into the mini plug. These things work like a charm. TIP: They only work with 2.4gh wifi band, not the 5gh band (or higher). I had to name my bands separately to distinguish the two. (Normally, they have the same name, and my mobile device decides which band is better to use at any given time). Also, when setting up, you should have your smart phone connected to the 2.4gh band and do manual setup because the Bluetooth setup (auto detect) did not work for me. OK, so these plugs are so useful, I have them all over the house. Some examples; since they can handle complex schedules, one runs the coffee maker, just an inexpensive one with a physical on-off button left ON, and set to different brewing times for week days/weekend days and to turn off at set times. One remote turns on outside waterfalls, set to turn off automatically. One is driving a relay rigged up to open/close the garage door. One remotely turns on the cooler, so the house is cooled down by the time we get home and so on. A couple of suggestions for the app; a momentary ON option so it only turns on for the duration while the "virtual?" button is held down. Also, a checkbox in the time programming to select all days, right now each day have to be selected one by one, no big deal. Good product. Read more

My wife is particular about having lots of different lights and varieties throughout the house. When I got her started on automation, these were a cheap and easy way to get going. They require their own app, which is fair, but not great. Thankfully, it will integrate with Alexa, so my wife is very happy. I would love it if these would upgrade to be compatible with the new matter protocol, but I’m not sure they will. Otherwise, they get the job done. Read more

Got these in because I needed a timer for some fans and because these use the smartlife app I pretty much figured I’d have no issues. So far I was right in my thinking because these work great and were very easy to add to my smartlife app that I already have 6 other devices running through. Great product and app.👍🏻 Read more

Nice smart plugs. I use them for remote power control on my 3d printers. They work as you'd expect. They wouldn't pair up in the fast blinking mode only slow blink mode for some reason but no problem after that Read more
