I ordered this Jinvoo WiFi Smart Mini Plug, 10A, Remote Control by Jinvoo Smart app, Works with Amazon Echo, Google Assistant,Compatible with iOS/Android,Timer,ETL Listed, FCC Certified, White (4 Pack) to control the last few electrical outlets in my house that are not connected to my network. I never thought that I would need to be able to control the power going to my Wyze cameras. Then, while on vacation, I learned that being able to toggle the power to my cameras was necessary. Every so often, one of my cameras will go offline and the only way to get it to reconnect is to power cycle it. That's not a big deal if you're at home, but it's impossible to do if you're away from home. Unless you have a WiFi enabled plug, that is. I went ahead and set up all four of these plugs at the same time, giving each one a unique name so that I could use Alexa to control them. Setting them up is not seamless, however. You need to be able to set your router so that it transmits only in 2.4GHz. If your router only transmits 5GHz, these smart plugs will not work. If you router transmits both 2.4GHz and 5GHz on the same SSID, and there is no way to turn off the 5GHz, these smart plugs will not work. There was a time when every manufacturer of smart devices required you to use their proprietary app to set up and/or control the device. Based on some years-old reviews of these plugs, that appears to have been the case with Jinvoo. However, you can now use the SmartLife app for these plugs. If you have other smart plugs/switches/bulbs in your home, you are probably already using the SmartLife app. After turning off the 5GHz WiFi on your router, load up the SmartLife app and plug the Jinvoo into an AC outlet. Then click on "Add Device" and choose smart plug from the list of devices. You'll be prompted to enter your network name and password. If the app requires additional permissions, you'll be prompted to go into settings to make the necessary changes. Basically, the app will guide you through the process. Once it is installed, the app will allow you to name your device. If you already have other Smart Life devices enabled in Alexa, the Jinvoo will automatically be added as an Alexa controllable device. I found the process simple to do in the iOS version of the app. Your experience may be different. If you've previously set up Smart Life devices, it should be easy. If this is your first time setting up a Smart Life device and you are trying to follow the instructions in the "manual," you may run into problems. The manual is pretty horrible. My suggestion for first timers is to skip the manual and check any of the YouTube videos that show how to setup a Jinvoo smart plug. Read more

These Jinvoo WiFi Smart Mini Plugs are fantastic! They’ve been a great tool for my lazy side, making it super easy to control devices without getting up. The setup was easy—there’s a QR code that links to a website guiding you to the Smart Life app, which I tested on both Android and iOS, and it works flawlessly on both. Connecting the plugs to the Smart Life app and linking them with Google Home was quick and straightforward, taking just a few minutes. I have a noisy air purifier in my office. I find the noise a bit soothing and it helps me concentrate but when I get a phone call I need to turn it off to hear clients better. The smart plug makes it easy to turn off and on without getting up. In another room, I use a computer monitor with a fire tv stick as a makeshift TV when I'm not using my computer. While I can sleep the fire stick via the remote, the monitor stays on with a backlit black screen. With the smart plug I can turn off the monitor without getting up again. I’ve been using these to control various devices around the house, and they’re reliable and responsive. The compact design doesn’t block the second outlet, which is a nice touch. Overall, these plugs are a great value and have made my life so much more convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add smart control to their home! Read more

I love and have invested in Jinvoo items for years. Sadly they no longer have the app working or available so it's a dead system now. Too bad, they were always great. I can still turn them on and off tied to my Google Home but lost the ability to set the timer settings on them all. Read more
