This will be a favorite sweater ! I love a cardigan sweater (as a teacher, taking on and off a sweater for whatever the classroom conditions ... meant that a cardigan worked best !) And that kinda stuck ! Still love a good cardigan ! This yarn feels amazing and the look is so pretty with all the beautiful patterns in the knit ! (I have knitted one sweater in my life... so truly can admire the workmanship !) I like the fit and feel of the sweater ... I am 5'6" and have broad shoulders, so I am always pushed towards a large ... but usually I am happier with an X-large ... and in a cardigan, you need a smidgen more room ! The size is excellent in the XL .. so I am happy I went up a size ! I don't usually buy wool products because I have very sensitive skin -- but this is THE SOFTEST sweater I own! It fits perfectly. I ordered a large (I'm 5'2" and 130 lbs) because I wanted to have some extra room in case I want to wear a heavier shirt underneath in colder weather. Even with the extra room, the sweater looks great on me because it's slightly tailored at the waist. Fringe benefit: my husband commented on how pretty it looks! This is a 5-star sweater but I'm giving 4 stars because of a defect. This sweater is beautiful, and the seafoam color is a very nice green. I'm 5'4", 120 pounds, and I ordered a size small. It was kind of snug, so then I ordered a medium, which came today, and I like the fit much more but the medium has a defect: a long snagged piece of yarn on the inside of the sweater slightly above the button second from the bottom. (see photo). What a disappointment! Two orders and still can't get it right. So I will return the small because it's too snug and the medium because of the defect, but I like the sweater so much that I've ordered ANOTHER one in medium and am keeping my fingers crossed that it will not have any defects. I've ordered several sweaters from this seller before and have never had a problem, so I think this is just some kind of an aberration. Their sweaters are beautiful. The yarn is so warm and soft. This sweater is a slightly shorter length than my other Irish sweaters, especially the small. I prefer a slightly longer length so I was glad that when the medium came, it was about an inch longer than the small. Updating June 2025: I love the sweater so much that I bought it in another color, ocean grey. It's a lovely sweater and all I want to point out is that the image makes it look like a blue-grey but it is actually just grey. It's a nice and versatile grey, grey but if you're looking for something blue like the image, this isn't it. Read more
