I bought this to use on my chair when I watch tv. I have it attached to the arm rest. (Yeah, I'm that lazy). It works great. The spring on the clamp is a little stiff, probably a good thing, but it does hold well. Took it on a flight, clipped it to the tray while in upright position and watched movies the whole flight. It was awesome. Clipped it to edge of nightstand at hotel and had an alarm clock as well. I like it so much I bought a second one to use in the workshop.
