These are new, so it’s an early review. But I really like these things. They seem tough, but light and you don’t lose any dexterity. They fit well. Breathable enough so they don’t get hot. On sale they are less expensive than the generic hardware store gloves but are much better quality. I’ll continue buying these as my “go-to” work gloves for working on things around the house. I already have other “tactical” gloves I use in rifle competition. But when they wear out, I’ll switch to these. They are less expensive and just as good as more expensive brands. Now I understand why so many ex-military guys I know swear by these gloves. Read more

I'm on the second winter with thse gloves. They have held up well although I don't wear these as work gloves because I don't want to take the chance that I'll wreck them. I can grab my keys out of my jeans pocket and open the door with these on. They work with my phone. I typed that last sentence, with a little difficulty. Read more

These gloves are excellent quality. They offer great protection while still allowing flexibility and grip, making them perfect for tough jobs. The brown color looks sharp and professional, and they keep my hands dry and comfortable even during long use. They work really well for mechanical and outdoor tasks, and the sizing fits true to size. Highly recommended! Read more

I have been wearing these gloves for years. Buy multiple pairs when I find them on a decent deal. I prefer the fast fit, when I can't get the fast fit I end up cutting the strap off the regular ones. These are some of the better tactical gloves I've had. My favorites were Easton batting gloves sent to us overseas by Easton in the early 2000's. They fit great and held up well but since then I can't find anything comparable. So I settle on these unless I find something better, and don't say PIGS those flimsy things wont hold up to a sneeze. I have a bunch of Mechanix gloves that I got after disappointment with more pricy alternatives. For general and tactical applications, these are quality products. It is no surprise that US military members use these gloves in their deployments - they have the quality and functionality they need at good price points. These FastFit are excellent and part of that great tradition, and they have the surprisingly helpful advantage of being easy to put on and take off. Look, you don't buy Mechanix gloves because you are too lazy to attach them properly or are indifferent to your safety or utility, but you will be surprised by how much easier this FastFit feature is and how much you like not having to use the hook-and-loop strap every time you want in or out of your gloves. These gloves offer excellent protection and utility - they are padded sufficiently and very comfortable. If you need more delicate gloves - get their thinner ones - these have some body without being overly bulky. They have full fingers - so no webbing at the thumb and index finger you find in poorly sized/designed gloves. These are just really handsome, useful, and easy to put on and take off. You will want more than one pair, and they make great gifts too. Buy a size big enough for you - be smart in you size choice and product availability. I write reviews to payback all that good criticism that saves me from bad purchases; these are very decent gloves that I got at a good price. I would tell you if they weren't. Read more

As the revue title says, I don't believe for a minute these Mechanix Wear gloves are made to the high standard of tough material they used to be several rears ago. While I can't provide scientific proof, I can say without doubt these new gloves of the same type are not going to last anywhere near as long as the same ones I bought 8-10 years ago, and even though these older gloves had gotten to the point of wear (stitching near and along the finger tips worn and allowing gaps to appear) that they deserved to be replaced, I'll still use them instead, because otherwise they are holding up well to the use I put them through. I seriously doubt these new gloves (which I regretably just bought two pairs of) will last more than a few months or possibly weeks at the rate they're showing wear on the palms now, and I truly haven't been all that rough on them. For example, all I've used the new gloves for so far is handling lumber and wood working hand tools to build a customer deck for our house and the palm material is already showing quick and noticable material wear that indicates the palm and finger material will wear through rather soon. Another thing that I wish I had known, is their sizing apparently runs on the small side. I usually buy size large in most work gloves and that's what I ordered for these, but they are truly so snug on my hands that I have to use more effort to get my fingers into them and then have to pull them several times to get them all the way on. Removing them is also not nearly as easy as my older Mechanix Wear gloves of the same type - I have to pull on each glove finger to them to the point I can grasp them all enough to pull the whole glove off. Kind of a PITA, if you know what I mean. Their small size also inhibits my ability to spread my fingers widely when need, which my older version does not and never did. Since I don't really use these new gloves now, I'll likely give them to my wife, whose hands are smaller and the lighter use she will put them through will hopefully anable them to last longer for her than they would for me.
