I broke them in but they soon busted at the seems and the rubber padding came off. I personally bought a 2X pair, yellow, and they have lasted 3 times as long as the smaller pair and they show no signs of giving up on me yet! My advice is to get the correct size, maybe 1 bigger, and they will last a long time. These gloves are a good investment for the health and safety of your hands. If they came in straight up hi viz orange/yellow I'd be stoked but as is they look great. You can pay more for far less glove in the mtb gear world! The only part I've worn through in 8 months of regular use is the very tips of several fingers - for a while I was using one pair for both riding and as a work glove.
