I’m a bit of a (Mechanix, mostly) glove junkie and these are by far the most comfortable Mechanix I own. I do urban SAR and these serve double purpose for rope work (because of the supple leather)l, I keep really good dexterity) and more rugged work (because of all the impact protection features). I also use these at my home woodworking shop just because they’re so comfortable. I wish they came with ANSI ratings more clearly displayed but that’s sort of a technical feature SAR teams look for. Amazed to read other reviews saying they had them a year and they were wearing out. I have never owned a pair of gloves that are actually used, that will last more than a year. What are they expecting...and at this price?! That said, these gloves are great, and they are form fitting so that they feel comfortable the first time you put them on. Well padded, and well made. I use them for winch duty and have no issues. Other than...I wish there was more of a cuff. These gloves end at the wrist and I usually like a little more protection. But even that doesn't stop me from giving a 5-star rating. Sure - the high-quality ranch-style leather gloves might last longer, but they are not as comfortable, not form-fitting, and cost more (for "high quality"). Read more

These are good gloves that protect your hands from a lot but after a few months of hard work they deteriorate quite quickly Read more

My new favorite glove. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to what I was using before. One reason I decided to try these was because I felt the leather would hold up better in the fingertips while doing basic chores around the house. And so far they’re holding up. I’ve had these for a couple months now and have used them for about 12 hours or more in that time frame. They’re thin enough where my hands can move freely yet I still feel my hands have really good protection. I’ve used them during winter and haven’t felt my hands were too cold to stop working. I waited for a good sale when I bought them. I’ll keep an eye out for a good sale before I buy another pair. The price seems to have gone up. If they last twice as long as the previous gloves I was using then value for the money is worth it. These seem to fit my hands better too. I’m happy with these gloves and would recommend Read more

I purchased these for my son who loads cardboard boxes into a tractor trailer for a living. He goes through a pair of Mechanix gloves usually in about three weeks. I got these due to they appeared to be reinforced in the finger tips where my son usually wear through them. These only lasted about eight days due to the stitching coming out of the finger tips. For normal wear these gloves are probably fine. I have used Mechanix gloves for several years with no problems and with normal use wear very good. We are still looking for gloves that he can wear that are more durable and are comfortable. Read more

I’ve owed quite a few pairs of Mechanix gloves for 15 years now and I’ve loved each one of them. Fast forward to these gloves the proof is when you put them on for the first time from the quality and comfort to the truly cool looks I was the envy of the job site. I rode bikes for the last 20 years and spent good money on many good pairs of gloves had I had these back then they would have been what I wore. I treated mine with mink oil which you can buy here on amazon to waterproof and condition them. Absolutely recommend these they run large keep that in mind because they are leather they will stretch. I don't know what else to say other than these are just my favorite work gloves - very durable, comfortable, and just great all around. I also use the 3 packs of the cheaper Firm Grip work gloves to use when I know I'm going to absolutely trash my gloves or get in some funky stuff but the disposable rubber gloves or dipped gloves aren't quite heavy duty enough to do the job. These Mechanix gloves last many, many times longer than the Firm Grip work gloves. I keep 4 tiers of work gloves on hand at all times. In order from the lightest to heaviest duty - Disposable nitrile gloves for painting, staining, working with oil, etc., then the nitrile dipped cloth gloves for slightly heavier duty work but will need some protection from oil/dirt/etc, then the 3-packs of the Firm Grip work gloves that are just OK but are basically throw away gloves after a few good work projects, and then the top tier is these Mechanix gloves which are just absolutely fantastic. The attached pictures are after I used these gloves for quite a few really heavy duty projects, including construction demolition, flooring, and several others. Read more
