So far with only a little wear time I really like these gloves. I ordered them in XXL. They are a little on the small side for that size but they fit nice and snug, not tight but perfect for shooting along with other movements needing dexterity and touch. Read more

These are the best tactical gloves I have ever seen. The knuckle guards are not hard shell but soft, flexing with movement but lots of protection. The leather is soft and pliable but provides good protection. Fit and finish are top notch. Easy to manipulate gun controls, good dexterity. LOVE THESE!!! Read more

Some of the best fitting gloves I have ever owned they feel like they were designed just for me. Very comfortable to wear with padding in just the right places, flexible with solid grip capability. Cuff fits in a nice location on the wrist and the band is sturdy without limiting mobility. Solid construction with double stitched seams all over the place. The hard knuckles stick out a bit making it difficult to reach in tight places but then they save your knuckles from scraping on sharp metal when you do so they do their job. When you are wearing them you don't even notice the hard knuckles are there until you need them and then you are grateful. Read more

I've been looking for a good pair of hard knuckle gloves for a few months. I want the hard knuckles for protection while playing airsoft. Most of the tactical hard knuckle gloves come with pretty stiff price tags and often with fewer features then these. The sizing is pretty dead on. I wear an extra long and these are spot on. The finish of these gloves is excellent. Everything is double stitched. There is a thick and flexible leather piece in the heel of the palm. The palm of the gloves has a series of padded non-slip leather double stitched segments. Each finger has a leather pad that allows you keep your since of touch. The top of each finger has a well stitched rubberized strip, excellent protection against 400 FPS airsoft BBs. The inside of the glove has a nice feel. Under the hard knuckle has a very effective and contoured pad to protect your knuckles. I played this weekend on an 85F day and my hands did not sweat and more importantly, no dye came off on my hands at the end of the day. These are the best non tactical; tactical glove I've used. I use these for just about anything. Mostly I wear them while on the ranch, construction, anything under the sun. They can get some wear and tear on them depending on how much use, and what you're doing. I am very satisfied with quality, and it's good for the price. Make sure you get the right size, that is the most important part of selecting gloves like this. Read more

I bought these gloves to replace a pair of Oakley SI Assault gloves and although I prefer the hard Kevlar knuckle of the Assault gloves, I like these Mechanix gloves more overall. These gloves (mine are the newer version of the MP3 with the rubber knuckle) have a better fit overall (palms, fingers, and thumb) and feel more durable (and the stiching quickly went on my old pair in between my thumb and index finger). I also love that these gloves have a strap that allows the gloves to be secured together (with a carabiner or something similar). I have yet to wear these gloves when shooting, but my initial impression is that they will work better than my SI Assault gloves - with those gloves I once got the excess material from my thumb stuck in a shotgun feed ramp and the stiching at the edges of the fingers was excessively cumbersome, so much so that I could not manipulate a slide release or load a magazine. These gloves also fit much more true to size and - at least on the XXL pair I ordered - the finger length is a better fit. As for the rubber knuckle on these Mechanix MP3 gloves, don’t expect the same degree of protection as on a pair of gloves with a hard Kevlar knuckle. With my SI Assault gloves, the knuckle felt impenetrable (but the overall fit was worse...). With this rubber knuckle, it’s definitely better then no protection if you were to hit something/someone, but I would NOT want to hit something hard with a balled fist wearing these gloves. Read more
