Bought these for airsoft. Love that the rubber protects all those little hand bones and veins from BBs. I have pretty small hands and these fit very snug. A touch stiff because of the rubber, but still very maneuverable for airsoft, and the protection is worth it. The touch screen compatibility is the best I've seen in a glove. These gloves overall continue the Impact lines history of affordable and durable gloves. They fit well enough out of the gate but become softer after a washing. I use these as general patrol gloves and love the dexterity and fit. Without palm padding they make weapon handling easier. The rubber knuckle pads work very well but add bulk for pocket carry so know that going into your decision making. The index fingers offer a cut ring of stitching to prevent unravelling which is an excellent addition at this price point. I did find that stitching noticable before I washed them and not a serious issue afterward. The ability to wash gloves is huge in public safety professions so I keep coming back to Mechanixwear. They hold up, fit well and most models are durable. The price is great for a glove which is a consumable product that will wear out and need replacement and allows a consumer to purchase two pairs for the price of ONE pair of some lesser made but more expensive tacticool gloves. This model is NOT cut resistant or flame retardant. However it offers what I have found to be a balanced blend of protection from abrasions and dexterity (touch screens, handwriting, searching, cuffing, etc.) with a fit that is comfortable with a short cuff and velcro adjustments.
